This is my first story but no need to go easy on me cause I like criticism but complements are great too. Based on the song Innocence by Avril Lavigne.
I open my eyes blinking as the light shines across my face. Worry flashes through my mind when I realize that this isn't my bed. Then I realize where I am as I see the boy laying next to me with his arm thrown over me protecting me like a shield, a shield to the world. His light blond hair is in a mess draping across his face. The sun shines on his long blond lashes rimming his closed eyes. His lips form small smile lighting my world like my own personal sun. Then I realize for the first time in years, maybe even my whole life I am so happy I want to cry.
His eyes open slowly and a grin spreads across his face.
"Real or not real," he asks. That's when it hits me like a ton of bricks, I need him, I love him and I have since we first kissed in that cave so many years ago.
"Real," I respond.
Then he leans in and kisses me and don't want him to leave…Ever.
