When We Were Freshmen...

(I Don't Wish for Fish, Only to be Freshmen Once Again)

This poem was inspired by of course all my friends. Thanks for the great year I owe it all to you! The poem is directly related to you so there will be a lot of parts you will understand. Also some parts you won't cause you weren't there but you can ask me if you're not sure which one is yours. Hope you like it. =P WARNING IT'S REALLY CORNY!!! And yes, I have 2 titles...I couldn't choose... xD

Freshmen year

flew by so fast.

We over came fears

that shadows cast.

I'm not sure if this poem will rhyme,

but of course I will have to try.

This took up all my free time.

So if I didn't finish I would cry.

We had crazy times at lunch.

Where we munched, crunched,

got poked,

and joked.

Spit balls and food were spat,

but our spirits were never flat.

We explained words that were hard.

We truly seemed like cards.

We were frustrated at lockers,

for people acted as blockers.

We were not touched,

it was just too much.

Our heavy book bags

rose a white flag.

In defeat

we were dead meat.

Some classes are a bore.

That I couldn't help but snore.

I'm glad I had you guys

as my allies.

We survived our exams

by letting ourselves cram.

We soaked up information.

Now we need a vacation.

Standing by the tree

at three.

Our faces plastered with glee;

unwillingly we had to flee.

Hopefully by summer's end,

my friend will water bend.

Just like the kid with the arrow on his head.

That way my satisfaction will be fed.

You have to admit,

we are a bit

overly obsessed.

Yes, we are a mess.

Staying up all night

just to read Twilight

and other fan fictions.

I call this an addiction.

Reading lemons is truly sour.

Going past the midnight hours;

we would chit-chat

about little brats

and not get tired

for time with each other could never expire.

We were hooked

going on facebook.

Seeing failblog

got our minds clogged.

You think we would of learned

and be concerned

about our bad habit.

Which popped in and out like a magician's rabbit.

But of course

we still remorse

because our foundation

is procrastination.

You helped me get pass through

quite a few

scornful days

if I may say.

Not letting ourselves pout

we laughed our troubles out.

We let each other vent

until we were content.

If you've got an issue,

I got a tissue

I'm behind you 100 percent.

So don't ever resent.

Lacking further delay;

what I'm trying to say

is live everyday

without dismay.

'Cause you can't breakup

or shakeup

true friendship.

Its like getting a battleship

which is a token

that shouldn't be broken.

I love you all

so remember to call.

You are all adored.

You won't be ignored.

You made freshmen year a blast.

Now that it's in the past.

I can't thank you enough.

I'll try to be tough;

won't cry out my heart.

When we all depart.

Before school is finally over,

I hope you find a four leaf clover.

I'm glad you took the time

to read my corny rhymes.
