WARNING: If you didn't complete Sonic Adventure 2 there are little spoilers!

Somewhere in a laboratory far away in a distant jungle was a secret weapon created by Dr. Gerald. He made this weapon right before his other creation, Shadow! He said there was something wrong with it, like there was a connection between something else that made him not function right. Whatever this interference was Dr. Gerald had no time to find it. He nearly said, "Leave this hunk of junk and this lab. We have better and bigger plans." After the fall of Ark Dr. Gerald was executed and this weapon somehow came alive. Our story takes place at this mysterious laboratory.
In this lab there lay many broken down computers. Others covered in vines and broken branches. In the middle of the room there is capsule as big as the room itself. A watery substance is in the tank with a big hunk of metal. The metal is big and red and has long dreadlocks the size of its head. It has a jetpack and an air lock on its body. Big hands are bigger than it's body and has sharp knuckle type metallic gloves. Their where shoes with pegs going up in the middle and the word SAOP on the bottom. This was the robot Dr. Gerald was making. On the bottom of this capsule had a plat; it read "Metal Knuckles"! This was the creation the mad doctor made. Suddenly the robots eyes shined green all over! There was a crack in the glass and the fluid from inside came spurting out. The machine lifted his arms and with looks of rage shattered the glass into a million pieces. And with a calm face the machine walked out.
Back on the floating island we see Knuckles laying down in front of the Master Emerald and eating some nachos. "Mmmm nachos." As our hero eats these delicious cheesy snacks a loud crash comes in from above and crashes on top of the Master Emerald. "What the hell was that?" Knuckles shouted with confusion. Out of the dust cloud rose up Metal Knuckles hold pieces of the Master Emerald. "Who are you? You look almost like me except your all shiny and don't look as good." Just then the metal horror spoke up in a jagged voice, "I'm the creation of Dr. Gerald and this Emerald is what's keeping me sleeping. For many times this emerald broke up and I had the chance to escape, but my body was still locked tight. But now that by some strange force I was able to rise from my capsule grave to destroy this emerald once and for all." And after that last word he destroyed the last pieces of the Master Emerald. "No! You moron I might not be able to remake it with all those shattered pieces." Then a bright purple light surrounded Metal Knuckles. "Know I can never sleep again! I'm all power and even stronger than that of Dr. Gerald's creation." "You know Dr. Gerald! But how?" Knuckles was puzzled and then Metal Knuckles explained his story. (Read top.) "So you know Gerald? But how does he know me to make you?" Knuckles asked. "Do you remember when the first Eggdomain crashed? Gerald saw you with Sonic and Eggman. He thought you were much stronger than Sonic and made me. Then as you herd, abandoned me, that BASTARD!" Metal Knuckles jumped up in the air and out of his hands came balls of fire and he threw them all around the floating island. Knuckles, knowing there was no hope for the island grabbed all the pieces for the Master Emerald and was about to jump when…
