Local Heroes
"Local citizens are calling him a modern day superhero. Clocked in dark cape, donning an orange mask and masterfully wielding a pair of nunchucks and aided by a dark ninja with glowing eyes, the Orange Fury and his side kick, the Shinobi, saved the mayor from a kidnapping plot by an unknown assailant. Exclusive video footage shows the incident."
The screen cut to a scene in the mayor's office where the Orange Fury and the Shinobi faced off against a giant man in a tiger mask. He couldn't be a real tiger, because he had no tail. In a flash, they were fighting. A flurry of blows was traded as the Tiger man shot at the heroes with a sort of plasma gun, the Shinobi sprouted another set of arms, each brandishing a different weapon and leapt in to intercept the majority of the fire, the Orange Fury got in close for a finishing blow. With a spinning kick and a battle cry, the tiger masked man crashed through a window and plummeted to the ground three stories below.
"The masked assailant, known as Tiger Mask, promptly disappeared after the exchange and police are still on the lookout. The mayor is safe and would like to offer his thanks to these new heroes."
The scene changed to show the mayor standing in front of a podium, with a patriotic banner behind him. "I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to the Orange Fury and his sidekick, the Shinobi. If it weren't for you, the city would be lost."
The scene switched back to the reporter. "In response to this incident, citizens have shown nothing but enthusiasm towards the prospect of a new hero roaming the streets."
"I feel so much safer walking the streets," an elderly lady said.
"The Orange Fury is so cool!" A young boy commented.
"The Orange Fury wouldn't be anywhere without the Shinobi," an intelligent looking man said.
"I love you Orange Fury!" A teenaged girl screamed into the camera.
"As you can see, there is no shortage of love for the Orange Fury and the Shinobi. Will we all be safer with this crime stopping duo on the scene? Will we ever see them again? Who are they really? This is Channel 6 News, signing off."
Leonardo watched the news report with a slack jaw. He thought Mikey had been a little too slow last night getting the pizza, and there really was no good reason for him to bring the malfunctioning Foot Bot that Donnie had been messing with.
"MIKEY!"
