Chapter 00: Discovery/A New Start

The land of Lacroa was a peaceful, happy place. The land was ruled by a fair King, and his young daughter. The land was protected by brave Knights. But the land was not only occupied by humans.

Enter the Gundams. A race of sentient robots who, in Lacroa, could use magic. The Knights were special, for they came from the great Spirit Tree, the source of all magic in Lacroa. Both the Knights and the royal family could use magic at their own will. Raised and trained since their emergence from their spirit egg, the Knights learn how to use their powers to protect their kingdom. The only thing was, were that there was no female Gundam Knights.

Then, everything changed.

"Gah! Infernal plants! When my plans are complete, this will be nothing more than a lifele- GAH!"

A maroon coloured robot tumbled down a hill, only to land next to a cold stream. Grumbling, the robot looked around with a single pink eye. This is Professor Gerbera, second to the leader of the Dark Axis.

Looking around, Gerbera surveyed his surroundings. Trees to his left, stream to his right, hill behind him, and more trees in front of him. Gerbera let out a sigh. I was sent here to gather data, and there is a 2.156 percent chance of gathering any here.

Gerbera turned away from the stream, prepared to leave, when a flash of gold caught his eye. What is this...?

There, caught in some reeds, was a small transparent white and gold egg. The egg was covered in strange runes, and had a soft glow around it. It was a Spirit Egg.

Crouching down, Gerbera gently picked up the egg. The Spirit egg seemed to brighten at his touch. I wonder...? Gerbera mused silently.

With both hands, the Professor cradled the egg with utmost care. Then, something magical happened.

A burst of light exploded from the egg, nearly blinding Gerbera with its brightness. When it did clear, however...

"Amazing."

Laying in Gerbera's arms, was a tiny Gundam, about the size of his hand. The baby's armour was undeveloped, so its body was a light silver-grey colour. The only parts not grey was its mask-plate, and the little golden v-fin on its head.

As Gerbera watched, the little Gundam opened its eyes.

Two electric blue eyes stared up into Gerbera's pink eye. The two stared at each other for only a minute.

Then, the little Gundam made a sound.

"Coo."

The little Gundam had Cooed at him!

Tiny fingers suddenly touched his chin, causing Gerbera to look down. The little Gundam cooed at him again, the two slits on its face mask lighting up a light blue.

Gerbera gently placed his hand on the little Gundam's head. A small bump was felt. Turning the little Gundam's head, Gerbera saw a small ponytail of wires. The little Gundam, was a girl!

Gerbera looked at the little girl's face. Her eyes were fixated on him, and glowed with innocence.

"Cooo."

Gerbera smiled. "Hello, little one."

The little Gundam smiled back. "Da da."

Gerbera blinked. Da da?! She called me 'Da da'?!

The little Gundam reached out her fingers and grabbed Gerbera's hovering hand. She let out a purr as she held his large hand close. Strange emotions began to override his normally emotionless soul with a fire. Gerbera decided right then and there.

"Welcome to the Dark Axis, Override."

A zakurello gate opened up behind him, and the two went through.

"Knight of Dragons."

A/N: So this is the introduction to my newest story. The next book will be posted on my profile soon. This story will pretty much follow the events of the TV series (the English one), bit with new scenes and a new character.
