Lacy here. Alright, I wasn't going to do anything for the anniversary of Jess' death but this has been playing in my head for days and won't go away so, here we go.

Don knelt down in front of Jess' grave and laid down the flowers he was holding. Yellow daisies, her favorite.

"I miss you babe," Don said softly. "I'm finally getting my head back on straight but I still miss you. I think I always will." he took a deep breath. "There isn't a single day I don't think about you. You're always in my head and you'll never leave my heart, I promise you that." he let out a laugh that sounded more like a sob. "Danny tried setting me up on a date the other week. When Linds found out, I thought for sure Lucy was going to be down to one parent. Lindsay told Danny if I wanted to be dating again, I wouldn't need him to set me up." he wiped his eyes, even though more tears flowed. "I still have most of your things around the apartment. Your dad wanted your diplomas and awards, which I willingly gave him but he said I could keep everything else."

Don couldn't talk any more, the tears were coming to fast.

"He refuses to let anyone sit at your desk."

Don looked up and saw the CSIs, Adam and Sid. Danny was the one who spoke.

"Almost got into a fist fight with the captain when he tried putting someone at it." Danny continued. "The captain's new so things had to be explained. He promised not to put anyone there without Don's ok."

"He's got a bottle of your perfume in his locker at work." Lindsay said. "I've seen him take it out on occasion and just hold it. I think it helps him get through the tough days since I can remember him just hugging you when things got hard."

"We're helping him get back to normal." Hawkes said. "It hasn't been easy, your boy has got one thick head but he's coming along."

"We all miss you Jess." Stella said. "We're all still thinking about you and we'll never forget anything we've been through together."

"Rest well Jess," Mac said. "we'll see you soon."

Danny held out his hand to Don and helped the detective up.

"Thank you for this guys." Don said, tears still falling down his face. "I know she would have liked each of you visiting."

Sid clapped Don on the shoulder. "She was, is family Don."

Adam placed down his own flowers. "Every year, we'll be here to check in on her."

Don smiled at his friends, his family. Facing Jess' grave again, he kiss his pointer and middle fingers then pressed them to her name.

"I love you Jessica Angell."

The breeze blew strong and Don smiled. She loved him too.
