There was something about being on Earth-2 that Barry Allen, resident of Earth-1, couldn't put his finger on. It sometimes felt like he was in a storm with two great winds facing off with one another. His fellow Flash Jay had warned him that it would be different, but he hadn't realized by how much. He felt trapped between the past and the future. There was a slower pace of life here that reminded him of his dad's childhood stories. On the other side of the coin was a future that Barry couldn't really imagine. The culture had advancements in science that Earth-1 was only starting to figure out.
The first thing Barry had done upon arrival to the other dimension with his friends, was research. Research into this reality's history, research into pop culture, and a bit of his own personal research. Barry couldn't help it, he wanted to know- needed to know- if there was possibly another Barry Allen on Earth-2. He didn't get very far (actually, he was around the corner from Earth-2's Star Labs) when he came across a car accident.
After trying to call Cait and Cisco to no avail due to a different phone frequency and lack of service, he decided to step in. He could see two people stuck inside, seemingly unconscious. Both were in the front, which would make it easier to get both out. Breaking the window, he pulled the first out as carefully as possible, cradling the neck to help prevent extra spinal damage. Quickly taking off his jacket, he created a pillow and lay the passenger down about ten yards away. Now all that was left was the driver.
Before Barry could even blink, the man was lying next to his passenger with another jacket under his head. Barry looked around for a sign of another speedster, only to be met with empty streets and the sound of approaching sirens. Barry ran back to Star Labs, not wishing to meet with any difficulties over his identity. His friends jerked up from their own research upon his reentry.
"Barry, what's going on? Why am I hearing sirens?" Caitlin asked with her usual nervous behaviors.
"Accident… around the corner," Barry said after a big gulp of air. "I got the passenger out of the vehicle, but someone else got the driver out and I have no idea who."
Dr. Wells stood up and walked over to one of the larger monitors, changing the image over to the news. When the others stared at him in disbelief, he explained, "The news stations here tend to go a bit overboard in their reporting and always arrive as soon as possible."
The words Immediate Report flashed across the screen. It was a newsroom like most, screen hanging behind two reporters in professional attire at a desk. It was the dark-haired man who spoke, leaving his partner to smile and nod, "Our immediate report of the minute takes us outside of the ever-controversial Star Labs where we are being told that an accident took place about half an hour ago. At the scene today we have the ever-punctual Bartholomew, with more details."
"Ha ha, very funny Jeff," came another voice as the image switched to outside of the lab. The Earth-1 residents' eyes widened. On the screen; hair smoothed over, glasses on face, bowtie around neck; was Earth-2's very own Bartholomew Allen.
