The News!

She knew that something was wrong when she saw her old partner as soon as she opened the door. She quit the force a while ago. She couldn't handle seeing killers set lose because they found a way to go around the law. The fact that they slaughtered dozens of people no longer mattered. Money has appeared to be the answer for everything now a day. It replaced justice and she couldn't take it so she left.

Why he was in front of her door was the question that she wished to have an answer to. Seeing him, meant that something bad happened. The expression on his face didn't convince her other wise.

"How further has it spread?" she asked him. He knew what she meant it was the matter of how to break it to her.

"Further than you have hoped." He said and at the same time trying to avert his gaze from hers. She realized that something was really wrong and she no longer wanted to play guessing games, if something was wrong she wanted to know it that instant. He no longer had any other choice but break the news to her.

"He has been killed!" he told her

"Who?"

"Your husband—I am sorry"

The words not only took her by surprise but they hit her like a bag of bricks. All she could do is thank her old partner and close the door. She couldn't believe that the corruption has come into her own house. After all she went through to make sure that it didn't end up entering her life it did anyways.

She found the key to her closet and went to it. As she inserted the key she whispered "I know my beloved that I promised, but this is for you."

The lock clicked and it told her that it was opened. She turned the knob and looked at what it was holding. She grabbed her leather jacket her black pants and the T-shirt. She started to change into the outfit that she thought she wouldn't be wearing ever again but things never go as they are planned. The final two things that were needed to fulfill her image were her boots and her gun. As she finished zipping her last boot up she got up and walked to the closet. Inside the closet was a safe. As she reached towards it, warm tears began sliding down her cheeks. As she put in the combination she took a deep breath and opened it. The gun like the rest of her outfit was black. She grabbed it checked it if it was loaded and put it behind her back. Another thing that the safe contained was the key to the garage in which her bike was locked away in. She grabbed the keys and headed for the door. Before exiting she set the alarm for auto lock and stormed out of the door. She hopped into her car and drove to the garage that she hasn't seen for several years now.
