It was no difficult undertaking finding out where the Dorian family was buried. Ronald, Carlotta, and little Misty Dorian were buried at Old Rose Cemetery, not too far from where he currently resided with the last surviving Dorian. He located the final resting place of his ward's birth family just in case their killer had been taken care of while Bod was still young – perhaps he would have taken the boy to their graves, perhaps not.

Silas had considered stopping by the graves on his way back from getting food for Bod to tell them their boy still lived and was being cared for by a loving albeit unique group of people (living or dead they were people the same) but what good would it have done? There was no point in him stopping by and talking to the headstones, and moreover, with the ones out to kill the boy both he and the Dorians cared about still alive, kicking, and plotting, it was worse than useless.

Sure Bod was cared for but was he really safe?

The less the boy's first family knew the better.

On his way out to town one day, Silas stopped at the entrance of Old Rose and curled his fingers around a pole of the wrought iron gate. Where a 'person' would feel sadness or maybe even guilt, he felt nothing but a vague sense of duty. Briefly he put himself in Arnold and Carlotta Dorian's shoes; if he had been murdered and his child still lived, he would want to know he was all right. Bod would not be all right until the Jacks were taken care of once and for all. Silas decided when that day came – and it was a matter of when, not if – he would give the Dorians the closure they deserved.

No, Silas would not visit their graves at Old Rose until he was able to say to them in earnest: Your boy is alive, he is well, and he is as safe as a living person can possibly be.

Until that day, he would wait. Until that day, the Dorians must only hope that Carlotta's plea was heeded.

Informing Bod's birth family of his safety was not something he planned to do out of human compassion, rather, it was only fair to give them closure after they provided him and the rest of Bod's graveyard with years of, dare he say it, joy.

It was nothing more than a business deal.
