Frozen In Time
He looked at the pictures scattered around him. Happy moments, captured in time, marred by her indiscretions. He took the time to meticulously cut her face out of every picture, all the while doing the same emotionally and mentally. Of all people in the world, why him? Why Naraku? His arch enemy. The whole reason he's been fighting so hard for so long. And the while, she's been helping him. Now both of them met their end by his claws…sword…pick one. Sometimes he can still smell the blood that was caked on his hands. He can still hear her heartbeat slowly fading away as the blood gushed from the gaping hole in her stomach. With Naraku, it was easy. It's always easy killing your enemies. But with Kagome, he took his time. He let his rage guide his actions. He tortured her mentally. Told her that after he was done with her, her kid brother was next. Then her mother.
He told her one thing, did another. He never went after her family. They were innocent. He just wanted her to suffer. To die with the knowledge that she will have no family. No loved ones. No one to mourn her death. He could still see her chocolate orbs boring into him as they dimmed into that forever darkness. The biggest betrayal of all was from her. Maybe Sesshoumarou was right.
