''Bumi, I was an idiot for falling in love with him,'' Lin said in between sobs.
''Don't worry Lin, I'll get back at him for you as a birthday present,''Bumi said reassuringly hugging Lin at the same time.
''But, he dumped me on my birthday! MY BIRTHDAY! Couldn't he have picked another day to rip my heart out?'' Lin yelled with tears flowing from her eyes.
And that was the beginning of Lin's bitter treatment towards Tenzin. She would always earthbend spikes in Tenzin's path especially his bedroom. Tenzin also noticed that Bumi was more meaner than usual. He was always tripping Tenzin over and he would spread rumors about Tenzin eventhough he had already been warned by their father many times.
One day, he decided to confront Lin and Bumi on their strange behaviour towards him.
''Lin, can you come here for a second?'' Tenzin asked.
''What do you want Tenzin?'' Lin replied back in a so-what tone.
''Your behaviour and Bumi's behaviour towards me is questionable ,'' Tenzin said .
''So what if we hate you?'' Lin said and with that she walked out of their conversation.
''Come back here Lin! We are not done with this conversation,'' Tenzin tried to reason with Lin.
That night, Bumi paid Tenzin a visit that would change their relationship as brothers.
''Stupid idiot,'' Bumi said as he came into Tenzin's room.
''Haven't you heard of knocking?'' Tenzin asked in a sarcastic tone.
''Listen here Baldy, you think you can go around and break my Linny's heart ?'' Bumi asked Tenzin in his most angry voice.
''It was not my fault that Pema stole my heart,'' Tenzin said.
''Why you…'' Bumi was about to hit his brother with his fist.
''What's going on here?'' Aang came bursting in .
''I could here the both of you all the way from the hallway and Bumi please put that fist away before I get Kyoshi to come out,'' Aang threatened.
With that, Bumi's hand relaxed and he walked out. But before he did so, he managed to kick Tenzin's shin without being noticed by their father.
