*where it all began*
"Xena, do you ever miss being back where we use to be?? I mean you know back in time?" asked Gabrielle curiously.
"I don't know, never really thought about it, let's move on we are almost there" Xena said seriously.
"I'm serious, I miss everything, Joxer, All of the gods, not that I liked many of them and Joxer was annoying, but you know I miss our old adventures...."
"Gabrielle, what's this all about" Xena said a little bit frustrated. "We have new adventures now, what's wrong with that?"
"I don't know it's just not the same... Forget I mentioned it" Gabrielle said quietly.
"Alright I will." Xena smiled, but Gabrielle looked slightly distressed.
They kept walking in the woods, they were headed to Athens because it was said that their was trouble their. Xena was in a hurry to get there and solve it, Gabrielle was distracted and unfocused which upset Xena a great deal and that took away from her concentration. Xena tried to fix together some comforting words so she would no longer be distracted by Gabrielle's depressing behavior.
"Look, I don't know what's bothering you" Xena mumbled "but you have to know that this is where we are now and you might has well except it"
Gabrielle grunted. Xena frowned, now she was angry with Gabrielle. She tried her best to be comforting but all she got in return was a grunt. Xena couldn't think of anything else she could do so they traveled on quietly.
Once arriving in Athens, Xena realized that something had been stolen from the church. Xena was determined to get to the bottom of it.
"See if that had been the old times we would have suspected Atolycus and we would have caught him and had a good laugh about it...."
"That's enough Gabrielle" Xena replied, now even more irritated.
Gabrielle sighed. Xena went through the town questioning men. Gabrielle still in her daze, looked around and entered some temples. Suddenly Aphrodite appeared.
"Hey Gabrielle, why so sad?" Aphrodite asked grinning.
"Aphrodite, how are you, so good to see you!" Gabrielle grinned and gave her a hug.
"So why so glum Gabby?" Aphrodite asked again.
"Just a little home sick I guess, I'll get over it"
"Ya ya, why don't I just send you back, no skin off my back!"
"Really? You can do that??" Gabrielle asked looking excited.
"For you? 'course I can" and with that Aphrodite sent Gabrielle back to where it all began in one simple motion.

Gabrielle opened her eyes and found herself lying on warm green grass, she looked around, something felt different but she couldn't tell what exactly it was. After a while Gabrielle started to remember what had happened.
"I am back home, I can't believe it! I am back home!"
Gabrielle felt excited but then a realization came to her that made her feel sick to her stomach. She wanted to be back home so much because that is where all her old friends were, but Gabrielle soon realized that she had forgotten one of her most important friends back in the future. Xena.
"Xena will find me..." Gabrielle reassured herself, Aphrodite will send Xena back to this time and everything will be the way it was again." Gabrielle sighed, never had she felt so guilty and sorry for herself, but at the same time she was thrilled and couldn't wait to visit her old friends and family.
Gabrielle wandered around.. Not only was she alone, she was lost, determine to find the nearest town Gabrielle set off, not bothering to look back.
