Arizona is sitting on the couch, watching the news. Suddenly, she hears a
a knock at the door. Opening it, Arizona sees Callie but no Sofia.
" Hi, Arizona...can I come in ? " Callie asks shaking.
Arizona steps aside letting her ex-wife in the house. They both take a
seat in the living room. Arizona takes a deep breath aggervated.
" Callie, what are you doing here and where is our daughter ? "
Arizona quickly asks, wasting no time.
Callie looks down then back up at Arizona.
" At the hospital playing with Zola. Me and Penny...we broke up.
Over you. " Callie says, her voice cracking.
Arizona grits her teeth and clenches her fists.
" Excuse me ?! What the hell Callie ?! You come back here and tell me
this ?! You can't be doing this shit now ! I have a girlfriend. Eliza
Minnick. I...I moved on from you...from us ! She LOVES me. She
accepts me ! SHE does NOT judge me ! " Arizona shouts.
Callie jumps up and begins pacing.
" And I did ?! " Callie asks angrly.
Arizona's eyes make draggers at her ex-wife.
" YES ! You did ! Every damn time I said I'm too tired to have sex !
Every damn time I tried to grieve and got angry or cried ! Every
damn time I wanted space ! You judged me. Threw a tantrum. Guilt
tripped me. Threatened to leave. You did ALL that to me ! "
Arizona shouts.
Callie sighs and nods. Because all of that is true.
" You're right, I did. I'm sorry, Arizona. But I still love you. I miss you."
Callie almost pleads.
But this time is different. Arizona shakes her head. She then raises her
hand, showing a promise ring.
" Eliza gave me this on Valentine's Day, 2 weeks ago. We've been
together 4 months. I'm in love with her. She holds me when I cry.
She lets me vent. She lets me rest. She cares about me and she loves
me. Callie, I don't love you anymore. You let me go, so I let you go.
I'm done with me and you. We have daughter and that's it. You gave
me up and you can't have me back. " Arizona says in tears.
Callie is now crying.
" But I didn't, really. Surely you knew that. " Callie nows pleads.
" But you did. I told you I wanted our marriage and you gave me a
divorce ! You walked out of that room and left me there to cry.
So no, you don't get to do this. I'm happy and you need to let me be !
What must I do or say, to make you just walk away ? ! " Arizona asks
desperately.
Callie looks at her and gulps.
" Kiss me. One last time. Show me you don't love me and I'll walk away. "
Callie replies.
Arizona sighs.
She gets up and kisses Callie, then pulls away.
" I felt nothing. I love Eliza, Callie. Please just co-parent with me and walk
away. " Arizona sadly tells her.
Callie sobs and nods. She walks to the door and looks back at Arizona.
"I'm moving back to Seattle. So if things ever change, I'm only 10 miles
away. I'll always love you, Arizona Robbins. " Callie says crying.
Arizona smiles sadly.
" Yeah, I know. " Arizona replies.
Callie leaves and Arizona locks the door.
She slides to the floor and kisses her ring. Smiling, thinking of Eliza
once more.
