Summary: Severus Snape's feeling towards a certina werewolf.
It was a crisp, clear day as Severus Snape set out across the Hogwart's grounds in search of answers. He was depressed, that was a given, but the question that plagued him was why. He had come to terms with the death and torture that was the realityof his miserable existence, however that was not the source of his current depression. This depression was a rather sorrowful feeling,as if he was missing something. As if perhaps he was lonely. Pondering these oddities as he stared out over the lake, Severus tried to determine when these feelings had begun.
It had been several years since the destruction of the Dark Lord. The war had taken many lives, but the grouchy Potions Master had endured. He had endured the trials, the suspicion, the hatred and the accusations. In the end, he had been free to live his life as he chose, for the first time since his teenage years. And then it had happened: THEY got married. Personally Severus thought it was disgusting; the difference in age was substantial and they were clearly not suited for each other. But as usual no one listened to him. He had attended the wedding aftermuch persistence from the groom. They had become friends, it would seem, fighting the final battle holed up in the werewolf's cabin for days had created some kind of bond. Severus had even bought him a drink on his last night as a bachelor. The next day Severus began to feel lonely; a feeling that evenafter six monthshad yet to subside.
Severus shook his head, maybe it was time he found someone forhimself. Severus scoffed at the idea, he'd only ever been comfortable
around one person in recent years. And it was a bit late to pursue his recently married friend.
