The Mysterious Disappearance
Ash had just returned home from a long journey in Sinnoh. He really hated parting ways with his friends, but he was just glad that he was finally backed in Pallet Town. Ash and Pikachu got off of the boat in Pallet Harbor. "It shouldn't be long now, Pikachu," said Ash enthusiastically to the yellow mouse.
"Picka," cheered the rodent in happiness.
The two ran through Pallet Forest. Pikachu stopped as it turned its head to a weird swirling sound, Ash looked back at his companion. "What's going on," asked Ash as he turned his head?
Pikachu dashed off into the woods. Ash followed frantically after the yellow rodent. It got away from the black haired boy. Ash gasped as he sat down on a log, "Pikachu, where'd you go?"
The swirling noise appeared to come behind Ash. Ash turned his head to see a Darkrai appear out of nowhere. The Darkrai smirked at the boy as it threw a giant black ball at Ash. "No, this can't be happening," screamed Ash.
"Indeed, it has," replied the dark reaper.
Ash felt his body shrinking. It wasn't a pleasant situation. Pain soared all over his body as he found himself drowning in his own clothes. He poked his head out of his collar at the reaper. "Why are you doing this," asked Ash in a four-year-old voice.
"Pay back," replied Darkrai.
Ash's eyes grew big as his childlike features changed. His small, narrow nose became longer until it was a long snout. Ash's arms and feet shrunk to be paws. His eyes closed as they formed into a slanted, closed position. Ash's blank hair turned into blue and yellow fur, which covered his entire body after his ears and Z marks disappeared into his small head.
"You can't do this," cried Ash in a voice, which gradually became more animal than human.
"I can do what ever I please, mortal," said Darkrai as he sent an intense wind towards Ash the Cyndaquil.
Ash couldn't stand the pressure and he was sent soaring towards Pewter City. There, Ash passed out. He wasn't found until the next morning by Brock. Brock rushed him to the closest Pokémon Center. Ash was no longer able to speak and he had lost his memory of ever being human. So, Brock had no choice, but to adopt the Cyndaquil. Later on, the Kanto news came on and reports about Ash Ketchum came on. Nobody was able to find him.
