9:00pm, Monday 4th May, 2026:
It was a sunny morning at the Kirigaya residence, and Kazuto was just waking up from his sleep. *Beep* Kazuto's alarm was going off.
"Jeez, really" Kazuto said to himself in a deep tone. "I really should get off ALO a bit earlier to catch up on some sleep" he then replied. "Kazuto, I'm off to practice again" his sister Suguha shouted out. Kazuto just said yes really tiredly. He got up and went downstairs to make breakfast. "Ah, the good ol' Bacon and Eggs. A real cliché meal but, seems legit." He cooked his meal and went to the table. The TV was on talking about what they should do with Prof. Shigemura about what happened with Ordinal Scale's plan to resurrect Yuuna.
"Sir Kikouka recently just got Professor Shigemura and…. oh! Shigemura himself is walking out of the door" the news reporter said. "Professor, what do you have to say for your treacherous plan to revive your daughter?" one paparazzi member said. "I just wanted my little girl back more than everything in the world." Shigemura replied. "Will you ever forget about when she died in Sword Art Online?" another member said. "Don't say the name of that game. If the NerveGear had no way to fry the brain, my daughter would still be here with me, but my student Kayaba just had to end her life" Shigemura said in tears. He walked off. "What will this mean for the Augma and Ordinal Scale? We will update you later!" the news reporter said.
"Damn, there goes my immortality" said Kazuto in a bummer. A couple of seconds later, Kazuto got an incoming call from Asuna. Kazuto picked up. "Hey Asuna" Kazuto said. "Kirito-kun! Did you hear the news?" Asuna said in surprise. "Yeah, not looking good for the Augma" Kazuto said in reply. "Kirito-kun, you still know what's planned for next week, right?" Asuna said. "Yes, we're going to have a picnic with the others!" Kazuto said. "Oh, Kirito-kun! You know how you proposed to each other and that?" Asuna said. "Yeah, why? Kazuto said in exaggeration. "Should we make the wedding in two weeks?" Asuna said. "Sure! I'm free all week that week" Kazuto said. "Great, oh… Kirito-kun, I've got some family business to deal with. See you soon!" Asuna said. "OK! Bye!" replied Kazuto.
