"Botan! Go! Now!" The words left Yusuke's mouth. Botan wouldn't leave. She wanted to stay, to help. Demons came time and time again to kill Botan. Sometimes Botan ran, sometimes flew on her oar.

After Yusuke hadn't been able to defeat Sensui, the tunnel opened. Demons swarmed in, killing all humans who stood in their way. Botan stayed still, she grabbed Yusuke's hands, pulling him up on her oar. She spun an invisibility cloak upon them, and headed towards their hideout. The last safe Haven.

Genkai trained as many pupils a possible, but they were killed, most of them, on their first mission. Botan cried, a single tear rolling down her cheek. Leaving a wet streak down her face, down to her chin, and dripped off, flashing in the bloody red light.

The tear crystallized, forming a blood diamond. Dropping to the ground, it was smashed, trampled under the claws, hooves, and paws and feet of the demons.

The tear smashed, representing the will of Botan. It smashed, Botan was left alone. She was useless she realized.

Botan was left to herself when they arrived at the hideout. Finally realizing her destiny, she flew off, hundreds upon thousands of blood diamonds twinkling as they fell to the ground. She cried steady tears, like rain. And like rain, they brought ease to the soul.

Botan, stepped onto the ground. Demons noticed her, smelling running blood of a human.

-Back at the Hideout-

"Yusuke, where's Botan?" Keiko asked.

"God, I don't know. Let me see where she went," And with that, Yusuke stepped outside. Noticing a trail of red diamonds. Following them, he came upon the body of Botan.

Botan smiled. "Goodnight, Yusuke," She murmured. And Botan drew her final breath, a final diamond rolling down her cheek. A final drop of blood dripped out of her body.

Yusuke cried, unsure of what to do. A strange shield of an unknown spirit surrounding him.

"Good-bye, Botan. Good-bye..." He said, pocketing the red diamond.

Goodnight, sleep tight
No more tears
In the morning I'll be here
And when we say goodnight,
Dry your eyes
Because we said goodnight,
And not goodbye
We said goodnight
And not goodbye.
