My book slipped from my arms only to land with a heavy thud at the feet of James Potter. All was going just as planned. I inched closer to him until our chests were touching. His eyes widened in shock behind his glasses and I almost lost my cool and laughed out loud.

"Lily, what...?" He started, but I held up one finger to his lips. His eyes were now so wide I could have a tea party and use his eyes for the saucers. Ha, that'd be interesting.

"Oh...nothing" I said, smiling as sweetly as I could. His lips parted as I closed the distance between us, though my lips still weren't touching his. I let my breath fan across his face and gently brushed my hand down his arm, making him shiver. I knelt down and picked up my book with a mischievous grin while the whole common room laughed uproariously. Then I said, as innocently as I could,

"April fools."

This isn't much but I felt the need to write an April Fools story. It is, after all, one of the best holidays ever invented!
