The Right Thing to Do
The Right Thing to Do
Author's note: Danny Phantom and its characters do not belong to me at all. They belong to Butch Hartman. Tori does belong to me however.
She stepped into the hidden part of the lab after Danny, Sam, Tucker, and Dani had left, leaving her father, Vlad Masters, unconscious on the floor. She decided just to take a look at how many clones her father had conceived. When she had heard him state that he would watch a hundred more melt, that got her suspicions up. After carefully hacking into Vlad's computer, she had discovered a hidden part to his lab that had previously been unknown to her.
As she stepped into the dimly lit room, a powerful smell hit her, causing her to cover her mouth and nose with her hands. It smelled sort of like bleach or chlorine, or…Or ectoplasm.
"What have you been doing down here, Dad?" She asked to no one quietly as her eyes adjusted to the darkness. But she had almost wished that she hadn't even gone inside.
"Oh my God…" She whispered in a small, fearful voice at the sights that beheld her eyes. There were several tubes filled with a green substance, and inside of each tube was a failed clone of Danny. But the horror wasn't the fact that they were of Danny: It was the fact that they were all grotesquely mutated almost beyond recognition. As she walked past the tubes, she looked inside of them to see what was inside. One Danny had only half a face formed, and she could see muscles in his cheeks and teeth. Another one had several eyes growing on his face like pimples. And they were all open and still, not moving or blinking. The one that disgusted her most of all was one that looked like a massive blob of flesh, hair, bones, and teeth. It had been crammed painfully into its tube, and it looked smashed in its too small tube.
She had to swallow back bile as she looked upon each failed project, growing more sickened by the minute. Tori thought that her Father had been slightly crazy to try and recreate a clone of the boy she had a crush on to make him into his son, but this proved to be more: Her Father was insane. Insane to keep these failed clones that had died painfully. But suddenly, a strange, wheezing noise caught her attention as she peeked around a corner. What she saw next made her want to sob in agony.
Lying on a table was a living clone, but he was only half formed, his legs resembling something like an oversized fetus. As she approached, the clone brought his pain filled green eyes to her own frightened amethyst eyes. What he did made Tori sob: He smiled at her.
"H-hi Tori…" He wheezed as he shut his eyes in pain. He had diodes attached all over his body, which was just too thin for the current and real Danny. Mustering up as much strength as he could, he reached up for her hand and embraced it. When he took it, she could feel how cold he was.
"Tori, p-please…Don't cry…For me…I need you…To do something for…Me…" He gasped out, his eyes serious and locked onto hers. Holding back her tears, Tori knelt down at his side.
"What do you want me to do?" She choked out, swallowing back more bile that had formed in her throat.
"Please…I want you to…Kill me…And don't you dare…Say no…" He said, his eyes pleading and piercing into hers. Tori nodded, another sob escaping her throat as she stood up. She raised her hands up, which were glowing with pink ectoplasm. Danny smiled at her and closed his eyes in peace.
"Tori…Thank you…I…" He coughed painfully, and at the sound, Tori fired. Tori had her eyes shut tightly, not wanting to watch the one she loved die at her hands. When she opened her eyes, all that she saw was a puddle of green ectoplasm. With a furious cry, she fired at the various tubes containing the failed clones, hoping that she had given them the proper death that they had deserved.
And after she was done, she flew outside of the castle and threw up.
