Precious Preface

Whisps of her golden hair whipped her face as she clutched her baby, Marjorie, to her side. Stepping forward, she took in the view. The view of beauty, hard work, and a dream. A Titan. Actually, the Titanic. Second thoughts raced through her mind, fear, and longing. To be home again with Alphonso, her husband. The three had been touring France, but Alphonoso had had to leave early. Work duties called so he left her to shop and tour alone in France. Now, it was time to leave. Alphonso had sent word to Lucielle, telling her to get 1st class tickets aboard the Titanic. The newest, and safest, and biggest vessel ever built. People called it practically unsinkable with the new technology equiped aboard.

It had a new marconigram, and 15 watertight compartments dividing the hull. If any water entered the first four, it could stay afloat. She had no idea that while people said it's safe, no one's precious life would be secured.
