I opened my eyes, still feeling a deep sleep hovering above me, welcoming me to comfort for the next few hours, but I had things to do (not to mention it was noon), so i swung up out of bed my canopy bed and managed to get on my custom Hello Kitty slippers.

I danced into the bathroom, applying my usual makeup, teasing, and brushing through my long blonde hair. I went to my closet, and did with what I had unpacked the previous day, an old marilyn manson t-shirt (remodeled by yours truly), jeans, and boots. I leapt down the stairs, wishing my father 'good morning' with a chaste kiss on the forehead, and retrieved my fabulous faux leopard coat and LV purse from the dining room chair, then skipped out the door and down the path which went through our backyard and entire Victorian-era neighborhood.

This town was my town, it was perfect.

Sophisticated, artistic, by day.

And an insane town covered in lights by night.

Not to mention this town rarely got sun, which I detested.

Walking through the town, enjoying the cool hazy autumn afternoon I grabbed some coffee from the newly updated starbucks, and did some shopping on the strip.

After dropping my parcels inside my room, and making my father a quick lunch, I went into the backyard.

Still amazed at how beautiful it was, my father knew me all too well.

It sounded like heaven when he described it too me, and heaven it was.

"Emerald green grass, to match those lively eyes. Golden autumn leaves to match your beautiful, long hair. White trees to match porcelain skin. Long blooming red and pink tulips to match angelic full lips. All for my angel." he said.

My father was the most important person on my life. Always has been. Always will be. I was starting to think I would never find a man or woman who could out-do my father.

Quite a pair we were.

But aside from that, I ventured, for the first time, into the woods that descended from our large estate.

Climbing over the dull, distressed barbed wire fence and then managing to stick and un-stick my shoe (and that's another story)...

I went cautiously through the woods, all but stalling completely at the sight before me.

Tall trees seemed to create a lace canopy above, fog lingered above the fallen leaves, and vines gracefully snaked their way through the forest. It was like a dream.

I went through, gazing like a child on christmas at everything in my sight.

But seeming as I'm not the most graceful person on the planet, not looking at where was going wasn't the smartest idea.

I managed to trip over a fallen log and land flat on my face.

Typical.

But what wasn't typical was what layed before me.

A key...
