Pascal's one downfall is that he can't sing.

Rapunzel needs a singing partner sometimes; she's tired of singing by herself. But when she asks Gothel, it's always the same excuse: "Oh, honey, I'm sorry! But I'm just exhausted today. Why don't you sing for me?"

Rapunzel sits on the balcony, back against the world, and absently plaits a lock of her hair. She hums a low, broken tune.

Suddenly, she hears a song, elegant and encouraging. Turning, she sees a bird, blue as the sky, on the railing, staring at her. Rapunzel claps in delight.

They make beautiful music together.
