"Did a bee just fly in here?" Reno frowned and whipped around in his seat, twisting to see if he could spot the yellow-assed pest that he thought had flown into his car.

"Focus, Reno!" Rude slapped the roof of the car, peering into the window with a scowl. "You're late! Take those to Tseng and then get your ass back here to help me finish up, alright? We've got a lot of shit to do today!"

"Alright, alright, keep your panties on." Reno pulled his seatbelt over his shoulder and clicked it into place, deciding that the bee must have been his imagination and nothing more. Couriering the packages to Tseng was easy work and Reno knew it was nothing more than Rude futilely trying to get Reno out of his hair.

Pulling out of Junon and making his way back to Midgar, Reno sped the entire way. He blared the radio, cranked up the air conditioning, and sang at the top of his lungs for good measure. It was relaxing, it was entertaining, and it was a nice stress reliever. Once he reached Midgar, he turned off the car and picked up the packages for Tseng, opening his car door with a giddy smile.

And then the bee flew out the door.

It had been inside the car the entire time, it's presence unnoticed by Reno as he was too distracted by speeding, singing, and driving to notice a tiny little bee flying around his car, but it was certainly noticed now. Reno dropped the packages back on the seat and quickly picked up his phone.

Rude didn't sound happy when he answered, his voice curt. "Reno, what do you want now?"
"There was a bee in my car!" Reno's voice was louder than it needed to be, as always, as he related his dilemma to Rude. "There was a bee in my car and now he's gone."
"If he's gone why are you telling me about it?" Rude had obviously had more of the redhead that day than he could handle.

"Because I just took a Junon bee and abandoned him in Midgar!" Reno's lower lip jutted out. "He's just a little bee, Rude! He can't fly all the way back to Junon! He can't get home! Now he's stuck in Midgar and what if the other bees don't like him?"

"Reno, it's a bee." An exasperated sigh followed the words and Reno could almost hear Rude's fingers kneading his forehead.

"But what if the other bees don't like him and kill him? Raphael didn't deserve to be dragged away from his home! What if he had baby bees? Now they're orphans!" Reno's mind was racing with guilt at the implications of his actions, his lower lip wobbling as he imagined gangster Midgar bees giving his Raphael a work over in a dark alley.

"Oh great, now he has a name." Rude groaned darkly. "Listen, Reno, I'm sure Raphael will be fine. He's a resilient little bee and if you can love him, I'm sure the other bees can love him too."

"I didn't love him, Rude." Reno snorted, rolling his eyes. "He's a bee, not a person. You don't love a bee."

There was sudden silence on the other end of the line and Reno blinked, looking at the phone. Rude had hung up, his patience for Reno's antics had apparently hit its breaking point. Pocketing the phone, Reno gathered up the packages and made his way up to Tseng's office. Maybe Tseng would feel some sympathy for Raphael's fate.

Author's Note: Yeah, a fic about a bee. I planned to write this like two months ago because a bee flew into my car and I had a random set of feels for said bee because I knew he couldn't get home and…well Reno's reaction is my reaction to the bee.

Hope you enjoyed!
