"I'm goin on a run tomorrow, hitting up a mall bout an hour south, what does everyone need?" Glenn announced as everyone was gathered in the mess hall. The prison was so large, every body had their own job so dinner was really the only time everyone was together, making it a prime time for announcements.
Immediately, everyone began shouting out items that were needed,Rick wanted toys for Judith and Lego's for Carl, Beth asked for art supplies and books for the children, a warm sweater for Carol, the list went on and on.
The next morning, right before he left on the run Daryl slipped in a note with a single word on it. Glenn grinned.
As far as Glenn was concerned, the run had been a smashing success.
"Here." A three pack of Calvin Klein boxer briefs was tossed at Daryl.
"Da fuck is this shit? I just needed normal boxers." The hunter questioned and Glenn did his best impression of the Joker in response. "Wanna know how I got these scars? I liked pulling jokes on people. So one day, I got a friend a pack of designer underwear, tossed it on his bed and asked, Why so SERIOUS?" He received a blank stare in response. "Dark Knight? Joker?" Daryl continued to eye the younger man. "Where were you before the world ended?" The archer shrugged and grunted.
Over a week later Glenn and Daryl were out on fence duty, Glenn babbling away as he stabbed the walkers that had accumulated during the night. One of the walkers managed to grab hold of Daryl's shirt tearing the threadbare material.
Glenn quickly looked over to his partner and his eyes caught the unmistakable lettering on the exposed waistband of his boxers. "Wait, are you wearing the Calvin Kleins?" The Korean closed his eyes and opened them again, expecting the strange mirage to disappear.
Daryl shrugged before the corners of his mouth twitched upwards, almost imperceptibly.
"Why so serious?"
