Two, small cats tiptoed their way across the summer grass, trying their hardest not to be seen. In front was a calico, and right behind was a golden tabby.

"Poolpaw, are you sure about this?" the small, golden tabby squeaked.

"Relax, Drippaw," the young calico said. "It's fine."

"It's just, we are getting dangerously close to twoleg territory..."

Poolpaw stopped and turned around to face his friend. "You see?" he meowed. "That's the point! I've never seen a twoleg before!"

Drippaw grimaced. "Don't be so loud," he said. "And isn't not seeing a twoleg a good thing...?

Poolpaw stood up high. "I'm gonna be the youngest clan-born to ever see a twoleg!" he beamed.

Drippaw rolled his eyes. "Sorry to spoil your fun, but I'm sure younger cats have seen twolegs before."

Poolpaw frowned and continued walking, ignoring his friend. Not five steps later, he stopped, turned around, tackled Drippaw, and lunged for the bush.

"What? What are you doing, you mad cat?" Drippaw hissed, trying to escape Poolpaw's grip.

"Shhhh!" Poolpaw said. Once Drippaw was quiet, he young calico poked his head out of the bush. "Twoleg place..."

Drippaw wanted to see this for himself. He pushed Poolpaw out of the way and poked his head through. Sure enough, he could see a twoleg fence, standing there, menacingly.

"Let's check it out!" Poolpaw whispered, jumping out of the bush.

"No, Poolpaw!" Drippaw sighed and jumped out after him.

Poolpaw slowly made his way to the fence and jumped up onto it. He looked down at Drippaw and gestured for him to do the same. Drippaw did as he was told and hopped up. They made their way along the fence and hopped down, into the yard. Poolpaw searched the area for something useful or just generally cool while Drippaw kept a lookout.

Then, to their utter surprise and horror, the door began to open.

Poolpaw and Drippaw ran in opposite directions and hid under toys and such.

"Oh StarClan," Drippaw whispered as the foot of a twoleg walked out. "What have I gotten myself into?"

Another foot followed the first one, and soon the rest of the body. This twoleg was short. It had a red striped shirt and extremely poofy, yellow hair. It scanned the yard before poking its head back into its den and roaring something. It then left the door open and ran into the middle of the room and planted its bottom into the ground.

Then, Poolpaw and Drippaw, just as they thought they were fine for the moment, heard a noise of a creature that they assumed would blow their cover.

They heard a cat.

But when they expected to hear tiny footsteps, they instead heard loud, booming footsteps that seemed even louder than the twoleg's own footsteps. A massive cat walked out of the door, on its hind legs, and walked up to greet the twoleg.

This entire time, Poolpaw and Drippaw were watching from under toy wagons and cardboard boxes.

The twoleg and the massive striped cat communicated to each other, until the twoleg finally stood up and began advancing towards the wagon, where Drippaw was hidden. It grabbed onto the box with its massive palms and began picking it up.

Drippaw thought for certain he was dead. He unsheathed his claws, preparing to protect himself for as long as he could.

But at that moment, inches away from revealing Drippaw, a voice boomed from inside of the twoleg den. The twoleg dropped the box back, said something to the giant orange Kittypet, and they both ran off, back into the den, closing the door behind them.

Poolpaw and Drippaw got out of there very quickly.

"Poolpaw," Drippaw said on the walk back. "We are never going back there again."

They only stopped once on their way back to watch the twoleg and the giant Kittypet ride down a hill in their wagon. From a far distance of course.
