Lily sat with her quill and a blank piece of parchment. She neatly wrote her name at the top of the paper and then got set on the assignment.

The Top5 Things I'm Scared Of

It was for DADA and that term they were studying boggarts and her teacher wanted to list the top things they were scared of so they knew what might be coming when they stood in front of the boggart next class. The next job was to write what the riddikule might be.

1) Rats – caught in a mouse trap (Lily had seriously considered getting the rat to turn into Peter but she knew if she did it might raise questions why a rat and Peter could be related.)

She couldn't stand the things; even though Peter's animagus was a rat Lily still had to refrain from squealing every time he took that form. It was worse when rats would run around the girl's dormitory. She would rather confront a death eater than have to touch a rat.

2) Petunia – Her mother (Lily loved her mother dearly and Petunia and her looked very much alike. It would not be hard to ridicule that if it tuned up.)

Her sister Petunia scared her. Not because she was horrible it was more the look of absolute hatred and disgust Lily could see in her eyes whenever Lily was around. It hurt more than anything. How could anybody understand what it's like to have a sister who doesn't just dislike you, but loathes you and thinks your some sort of monster?

3) Voldemort – Sucking a dummy. (Sirius also thought Voldemort would show up and came up with the idea of him sucking a dummy.)

How could he not scare Lily? Everything he touched seemed to turn bad. Although, it wasn't the fear that Voldemort would kill Lily – she could handle that. But the idea of him murdering someone she loved like James or Severus, it was more than Lily could bear.

4) James and Severus fighting – James and Severus hugging (This, she thought would be a very amusing ridicule if the time come up to use it.)

For Lily this was probably the worst so far. Many times she had seen how James and Severus looked at each other and every time she would hold her breath in hope they wouldn't start yelling hexes at each other.

5)

Number five? What would be her last fear? Probably the fear that she was told that she couldn't be a witch anymore and she was just a muggle. Or perhaps seeing all those she loved dead on the floor? She wasn't quite sure yet.

She decided that she would write her last fear in the morning. She had a feeling it would be haunting her dreams.
