Sofia was stood in the hallway in the apartment building, she rested her head against the pale painted wall and sighed heavily. A woman had just been murdered right in front of her eyes and she hadn't even noticed until it was too late.
Grissom came up behind her and wrapped his strong arms around her waist, "It wasn't your fault Soph", he said gently
Sofia turned in his arms and buried her face against her lover's chest, "Try asking her that" she said with her voice filled guilt and her eyes shining with unshed tears.
Gil held her close, "It wasn't your fault we couldn't have known" he said softly, his voice and grip loving and tender.
The beautiful woman smiled softly, "I know but..." she sighed heavily
Grissom ran his hand through her soft straightened hair, "but nothing, you can honor the officer by helping find her killer" he said softly
Sofia smiled, "I love you Gil" she said with a happy and more relaxed smile, he always knew what to say to make her happier
He grinned, "I love you too beautiful" he said softly
