Cas had been awake all night. Of course, being an angel, he couldn't sleep, but sometimes, time seemed to crawl on slowly.
Not right now, however.
The morning sun was just peeking through the hotel curtains, and filling up the room with golden light. The morning sun had lit up the room, causing the hunter in Cas's arms to rustle, tightening his grip on the angel.
Cas sighed happily and ran his fingers through Deans hair. He could stay like this forever. However creepy it sounded to Dean, Cas enjoyed watching over him sleeping.
He seemed more relaxed, more peaceful, asleep. All the small wrinkles and frown marks just seemed to disappear whenever Dean slept.
Cas smiled again and kissed his hunter lightly on his hair, resulting in accidentally waking Dean.
He frowned, tightened his grip on Castiel, then reluctantly sat up, rubbing his eyes.
"How long did I sleep?"
"Almost nine hours."
"Nine hours! I never sleep that long!" Dean shot off the bed and began looking for a clean shirt.
"You were tired."
"Never that tired." Dean turned around to look at Cas. "What did you do for nine hours?"
"I, uh...watched over you." Feeling his cheeks burn, he looked down at his shoes.
"You watched my sleep for nine hours?" Cas could feel his cheeks get more red.
"Uh...yeah. You look peaceful when your sleeping." He glanced quickly towards Dean. "Sorry. I know it creeps you out."
Suddenly, Cas felt the hunters arms wrap around him, enveloping him in a hug.
"Its alright, Cas." Dean pulled away slightly, looking Cas in the face, arms still wrapped around him. With that, Dean gently kissed his angel.
