"Shh!"

"Quiet!"

"Owie!"

"Sowwy..."

Gaia heard several whispers. She was searching for her children. The seasons. All a year apart. The date was April 22. Her birthday. And she wanted to spend the day with her children, but she couldn't find them...

"Shh!"

There it was again. Gaia turned and walked towards the Dinning Hall. She reached the golden brown doors, tugged the silver-gold handles, and frowned when they wouldn't open. She tried several times before giving up and pressing her ear against the wood. She heard noise from the other side.

"I wanna hewp!"

Gaia chuckled. Though the voice was faint, she could tell it was her youngest child, Jack. The boy was only a few months over two years old, his third birthday would be that December.

"MEWIDA!"

And there was Rapunzel, who was only three and would turn four in early June. A groan came from another child.

"WHAT?!"

Ah, Merida. Sweet, four soon to be five in late June, Merida. Gaia wondered what they were up to. She tried the doors again.

"SHH!"

"Quiet!"

"Bwut Mewidwa-"

"I said shh!"

"Is it mommy?" The children on the other side whispered amongst each other.

Gaia sighed and used her powers to force the door open.

"SURPRISE!/SUWPWISE!" Everyone on the other side. Hiccup smiled. The five year old was proud of his work. The room was filled woth drawings and paintings of plants, landscapes and the Earth. Gaia was speechless. The other spirits were there. All smiling broadly. A pile of presents sat in the far northwestern corner.

"What..." Gaia had tears in her eyes, "what is..." She felt a tug on her skirt and looked down at Jack and Rapunzel. Merida and Hiccup joined them.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!/HAPPWY BWITHDWAY!" They all cheered. Gaia pulled her children in for a hug.

April 22 may be Earth Day for mortals, but for them, it was their mother's birthday.
