Why can't he see?

Why can't he see it?
Is he so proud,
That his pride blinds his vision?
Am I so unimportant to him?

Why can't he accept me?
Why can't he acknowledge that I am his son?
All I want is for him to notice me.
To be proud of me.

I respect him, I love him.
But doe he feel the same about me?
If there is one thing that I have learnt through all of this,
Is that time will tell.
