Beads of perspiration trickled down on Ruby's forehead.
She was tired and certainly was not happiest girl in the world right now.
An exhausted Ruby finally had a long-awaited rest after completing half of the chores on her list.
Doom Kitty laid contentedly at her exhausted feet.
Suddenly,Ruby felt a severe headache developing and a sense of discomfort overwhelmed her.
She let out an antagonized groan.
Determined to get rid off the migraine,she decided to boil some water and make a hot cup of honey and lemon.
She trudged wearily into the kitchen and put a kettle to boil on the stove.
"Okay,after resting,I just need to do the laundry,wipe Jealousy's flasks clean after I remove its contents safely,prepare lunch,bandage Misery after she walks around the house,accompany Iris on her next adventure...I better bring more parachutes."Ruby reminded herself.
Doom looked at her skeptically.
"Yes,I know,I have lots of things to do,but at least everyone is happy!"Ruby sighed.
Her friends meant the world to her.
Doom sighed as she walked out of the kitchen.
Out of the blue,the same dreadful wave of nausea and discomfort returned.
She felt a throbbing headache pounding in her head.
She knew she had to take immediate action.
With hurried footsteps,she opened a drawer and fumbled with a dozen bottles of pills.
The excruciating pain in her head not only brought tears to her eyes but also dulled her senses.
She hastily grabbed a bottle of oval-shaped pink pills,unscrewed the cap with trembling hands and then hurriedly popped three pills into her mouth.
Her taste buds tingled with bitter aftertaste and she gulped down a large glass of water to engulf the bitter taste.
The kettle whistled loudly,alerting its owner to turn off the burning flame.
However,at the touch of the turning the knob,darkness suddenly enveloped her vision.
She collapsed clumsily onto the cold,hard floor with a loud thud.
The last thing she saw with her flooded eyes was the glass of water she was holding being shattered into smithereens.
A concerned Doom heard the thud with her acute sense of hearing and rushed into the kitchen,only to find her owner sprawled on the floor.
Instinct told her to get help immediately.
Taking a deep breath,she brought the house down with a caterwaul.
This brought the housemates downstairs.
"Doom!What is-*gasp*!"
It was only then did Iris noticed the prostrate body of Ruby who was paler than usual.
Her loud cry attracted everyone's attention and they looked down to see their unconscious friend.
"RUBY!"Everyone cried out.
