Takes place sometime after the events in That was then...This is now
Having helped Lannair settle for the night and made certain she had enough cough and pain killing draughts to last the night, Anuenue glanced over to the door when her shadow twin quietly coughed and nodded to the window, indicating she was being watched. Crossing over to the window, the Turaga of Colour smiled and opened it to peer out and upwards, "I'm just going to make some chocolate. Care to join me?"
As she closed the window, Lariska's mask swung into sight and the Dark huntress grinned before vanishing from view as she and Iteotha headed for the ground.
Arriving in the kitchen, the Turaga of Colour chuckled at the sight of the Dark huntress and hunter perched on stools at the counter, juggling Lariska's daggers between them. "Got any new flavours?" Lariska asked as she caught the last of her daggers and tucked them away before turning to watch as Anuenue began rummaging in the nearest cupboard for a large enough saucepan, "Yup. Got one you might like." came the slightly muffled reply.
While she set the maha milk to heat, the rainbow hued Turaga fetched a canister and three mugs, into which she scooped a spoonful of powder, "Hmm that smells nice." Iteotha commented, drawing a grin from Anuenue.
Eager to taste the new flavour, Lariska beat Anuenue to taking the warmed milk from the heat and carefully poured it into the mugs before dropping the saucepan in the sink to cool while Anuenue stirred the mugs until the contents were well mixed. "Enjoy and have fun working out the spices." she said as Lariska and Iteotha picked up the remaining mugs.
"Mmmm, this is nice, I'm guessing you've added cinnamon and ginger." Lariska commented after several mouthfuls of her drink then she and Anuenue glanced at Iteotha as he added that he could also taste nutmeg and saffron, "You're both right." Anuenue grinned as she sipped her share.
Several more minutes passed then Lariska stretched languorously and began to loosen her armour, "I feel warm, how about you?" she asked Iteotha as she lent close to where he was bemusedly looking into his mug, "You're beautiful." he replied when he turned to look at her and slid from his seat. Doing likewise and now oblivious to Turaga Anuenue's amused yet puzzled expression, the pair hugged and began kissing.
There was a series of clatters as the Dark hunter and huntress's hastily shed armour dropped to the floor followed quickly by its owners as they rolled under the wall-mounted table. Blinking in surprise as passion filled moans began to fill the kitchen, Anuenue peered closely at their half-drunk mugs of hot chocolate before looking at hers.
Shaking her head, the rainbow hued Turaga finished hers, put the mugs in the sink and dimmed the lights before softly closing the door on the mounting cries of abandonment. She then went through to the living room where Wotzit padded over to her to see what was happening.
Scratching behind his ears, Anuenue chuckled softly when a shimmer announced the arrival of her closefriend, "Interesting that it's only had that effect on Dark hunters." Nuju commented as he settled beside her. "Yeah, and can you think of the mayhem it could cause if Lariska took some back? Almost tempting to offer her some, though I've no idea when it's effects will ease." she added giggling as cries of unrestrained joy rang out, "And just as well Lannair is currently enjoying her friends company." Nuju added before tugging his closefriend closer for a hug. "Now why don't you get some sleep and we can take a walk through the flowered meadow." he added, a sly gleam in his eyes as Anuenue blushed and rested her head on his shoulder as she ran a finger down his chest.
Ignoring the noises from the kitchen, Anuenue fetched some blankets and settled on the couch, smiling at her closefriend as she drifted off to sleep. Grinning in anticipation, the icy spirit rubbed Wotzit's ears once the dog had settled then he returned to the flowered meadow.

Reappearing beside his closefriend as she stirred and opened her eyes to peer up at him, Nuju smiled as she watched him. "I'm gonna ride you like a wild Kikanalo." he murmured as the grass began to grow and form a bower. Leaning down to kiss her, Nuju realized that Anuenue had switched to her Matatu and there was a wicked gleam in her eyes, "Well if you want to do that, you'll have to catch me first."
With that she activated her mask, assuming her Hordika form and sprang into the air, where she hovered, grinning broadly as he scrambled to his feet and tried to catch her ankle.
Nuju looked up at his grinning closefriend as she hovered in the air then chuckled as he activated his Matatu and assumed his Hordika form. A low whistle of awe escaped Anuenue as her gaze took in his form, and a blush climbed up her neck feathers as she realized just how ready he was to play. With a low growl of amusement, Nuju jumped for Anuenue, then laughed as she squealed and soared a bit higher, "You'd better start 'running' then as I'm eager to hunt." he purred seductively as he prepared to jump again. Anuenue needed no further encouragement and sped off, winging her way across the flowered meadow and occasionally slowing enough to tease her closefriend.
Having noticed the pattern she'd drifted into, Nuju gauged when she'd dip again and jumped, catching her by the waist as they tumbled to the ground. With a delighted chirp, the Turaga Hordika nibbled her closefriend's neck before shifting around until she was on her hands and knees, wings lowered as she peered back at him. Growling softly, Nuju pulled Anuenue closer as she wriggled in anticipation and gently nipped her neck feathers as he entered her.
…
Laying on Nuju's chest, Anuenue brushed a hand over it, ruffling the small feathers there and giggling as he tried and failed not to laugh. "It tickles." he chuckled when she puffed at the ruffled feathers, "Not as much as this I'm betting." came his closefriend's laughing reply as she began wriggling and smiled broadly at his response.
Basking in the afterglow and nestled together, Anuenue chuckled, "I did say I'd get you to show me your Hordika form." she yawned deeply and snuggled closer to Nuju as they resumed their usual forms. He chuckled as her eyes began to close, "And I won't leave it so long next time." he promised as her spirit returned to her body.

As the early morning light brightened up the living room, Anuenue stretched and rubbed sleep from her eyes before folding up the blankets and put them away. She then slipped quietly into the kitchen and peered around the seating for the table before smiling at the sight of Lariska and Iteotha sound asleep in each other's arms. "Hist, is it safe to come in?" Aikane called softly from the doorway as Anuenue began to fix breakfast, "Uh huh, they're out cold and will no doubt be ravenous after their antics when they wake." Anuenue replied as her sister joined her and lent a hand with the preparation.
Delicious smells worked their way into Iteotha's awareness and he slowly became of his surroundings. Opening his eyes, the Dark hunter smiled at his still sleeping closefriend before tensing as footsteps approached. Glancing around, his wary gaze was met by Turaga Anuenue's as she peered under the table at him and he winced as the memories of the previous night returned, "Hungry?" she asked as he managed to extract himself from Lariska's arms and crawled out from under the table. A growl from Iteotha's stomach answered her question and Anuenue grinned when he looked flustered, "Come and tuck in. There's plenty."
Mumbling his thanks, Iteotha perched on a stool and watched as the violet hued Toa piled a dish with food and slid it into place before him, "If what 'Nue said is right, you'll need your energy." she chuckled while setting a mug of hot bula berry juice beside the dish.
Caught with his mouth full of food, the poison green Dark hunter glanced at the rainbow hued Turaga as she tucked into her breakfast before meeting his gaze. To his utter shock, Iteotha felt a blush rising up his mask as she smiled, "You'd better breathe soon, Lariska's stirring." Aikane commented as she glanced over to where muted noises were coming from under the table.
Rubbing her eyes, Lariska slid out from where she'd spent the night then stretched before silently moving to perch on a stool and began helping herself to the food. Toa and Turaga shared a glance as the Dark huntress chewed on some toast, her mask almost unreadable apart from her red cheeks.
For several minutes breakfast continued in silence, then Lariska spoke, "If you ever say anything about last night..." she looked over to Turaga Anuenue, whom smiled and placed her hand over her heartlight, "No-one will ever learn of this from me or Aikane," then a wicked grin crossed her mask, "Want to take some back for the Shadowed One?"
Caught out by the comment, Iteotha promptly choked on his drink and spluttered helplessly for several minutes as Aikane cautiously slapped his back while Lariska's acidic laughter rang out.
"I might take you up on that offer...if you have some other flavours we can nick." she eventually said, wiping the laughter tears away, her expression daring them to comment on the outburst, "Sure, if last night had gone to plan you could have tried the red berry one Fer and I made." the rainbow hued Turaga replied before returning to the cupboard where she kept the chocolate mixes. "And don't forget the one he created with some of that pink fruit." Aikane added, shooing Wotzit into the garden and waving to the Chronicler as she entered the garden and was promptly bounced by the delighted dog. Lariska's head shot around as Rionna's laughter rang out, then to Anuenue and Aikane's surprise she stifled a groan, "If she ever finds out..."
"Not from us, you have my word." the Turaga said firmly, smiling as her shadow twin stepped from the shadow of the hallway and joined her, "I'll take you to your boat. She'll never know you were here." the shadow twin grinned while her real self put packets of chocolate powder in a small bag and passed it to Iteotha, whom hastily swallowed the last of his food, before Aikane added the dish to the pile in the sink, then grabbed his armour.
Nodding her thanks, the Dark huntress caught up her armour then grabbed Iteotha's hand and allowed the rainbow hued shadow twin to lead them into the shadow.
Reappearing close to the cove where Lariska moored the boat, Anuenue's shadow twin chuckled when Lariska sighed, dropped her armour onto the deck then jumped into the sea. Glancing slyly at Iteotha as he jumped on deck and vanished into the wheelhouse to put the chocolate powder away, but not before also dropping his armour on the deck, she chuckled. Coming back on deck, the poison green hunter glanced at the shadow twin, "I'm surprised she didn't blush." he commented, referring to the Turaga of Colour as he prepared to slip into the water. "Ha, my real self does have a closefriend. Even if their romps are now confined to the spirit realm." she replied, grinning broadly as a blush surged over his mask as he realized just where her gaze was focused. With another chuckle, the shadow twin vanished from sight leaving the highly embarrassed dark hunter to jump into the water in the hope it would kill his blushes.

Reappearing in the kitchen, Anuenue's shadow twin reported that the dark hunters had gone and her wind up of Iteotha.
Pausing in her game with Wotzit, Rionna glanced curiously at Anuenue's kitchen where she could just see Aikane crying with laughter as the rainbow hued Turaga chuckled madly. Shrugging, the Chronicler turned back to where Wotzit danced with impatience as he waited for her to throw his ball.
"Oh spirits, that's priceless. And to think he was trying to fluster us." Aikane finally managed to say, flopping onto a stool and accepting a beaker of water from her grinning sister, "Never gonna happen. Especially with our closefriends to compare him to."
This remark started Aikane snickering again, clutching her aching sides as more helpless giggles escaped her, while Anuenue giggled wickedly, her mask now a faint shade of pink.

Sitting on the roof of the wheelhouse, Iteotha peered at the packet of spiced chocolate powder then up at Lariska as she vaulted up to sit beside him and picked it up, "Okay, this is gonna take some explaining."
"Yup...so any ideas?"
The pair shared a glance before watching the waves as the boat headed for Odina.
…
A couple of Dark hunters were lounging against a wall overlooking the harbour when one spotted Lariska's boat and challenged the other as to who'd get to the throne room first to inform the Shadowed One.
They were back at the wall when Iteotha jumped from the deck to catch the rope Lariska threw to him, "You're late. He wants you right away." Dìmeas sneered, smirking at the Dark huntress when she disdainfully glanced at him and Meirg. Feigning indifference she headed in the direction of the fortress, Iteotha close behind as they ran up the steps ignoring the badly stifled laughter coming from behind them.
Watching as a servant hurried to open the doors of the throne room, Lariska glanced briefly at her closefriend before they moved into the presence of their boss. The Shadowed One was lounged in his seat, seemingly indifferent to their approach though his eyes watched the pair closely for any hint of nervousness. Several other Dark hunters were present, most hoping to see if Lariska would get punished for her tardiness.
The pair bowed to the Shadowed One when several paces from his seat and he straightened up to rest his chin on his fist, "This had better be good..." he growled, eyes narrowing as Iteotha handed the bag to Lariska and she offered it to their boss.
Reaching out to snag the drawstring, the Shadowed One paused and looked at the watching pair, "What are you hiding?" he growled again, focusing on Lariska. "There was a new flavour, it's delicious...but there's a side effect." she replied, pulling out the packet and offered it to him, "Oh? Do tell..." the hulking Dark hunter purred, his eyes narrowing as Lariska stepped forward.
Several minutes later there were badly stifled snickers and giggles coming from the Dark hunters while the Shadowed One's eyebrows rose as he glanced at the packet he held, the rest forgotten as he considered Lariska's first hand information. "It'll be interesting to see this in action. You mix it and I'll need a couple of volunteers. You and you." the Shadowed One passed the packet to a servant, whom bowed and dashed off, and gestured to Farmad and Garbh.
More badly stifled snickers came from the other Dark hunters until the Shadowed One cast his eye over them, "This will be a private demonstration. Unless you wish to watch Milltear and Snaig making out instead." He smirked as those he named glared at the others, daring them to say anything before everyone left the room, muttering to themselves and leaving Farmad and Garbh with the Shadowed One, Lariska, Iteotha and the servant, who cautiously offered the steaming mug to his master.
Inhaling the steam rising from the spiced chocolate, the Shadowed One smiled briefly before handing the mug to Farmad, "It does smell nice." she murmured, her mask still glowing red at her and Garbh's secret being leaked. "Drink half and pass the mug to your closefriend." the Shadowed One growled, his eyes glowing with amusement as she took a mouthful and her eyes widened in surprise at the taste.
While she drank her share of the chocolate, two more servants appeared with a mattress and set it to one side before vanishing.
Meirg looked up from the project he was working on as several Dark hunters hurried into the lab and stopped in a semi-circle out of arms reach. "Is your monitoring device working? We wanna spy on the throne room." Gionair asked, her eyes gleaming hopefully as the rusty hued Dark hunter blinked at them.
"The roving eyes are working well, why?" Meirg asked before chuckling wickedly as he activated a couple of the devises and sent them off. There was a scuffle as the other Dark hunters scrambled for seats and waited while Meirg activated the monitor. Whistles, ribald suggestions and catcalls rang through the lab as those watching the monitor grinned at what they could see.
Garbh only managed to drink half of what remained in the mug before Farmad licked her lips, sidled closer and began pulling at his armour, her eyes glowing with lust as he glanced around only to be kissed passionately. "Looks like you'd better hurry up." the Shadowed One chuckled as the dull orange Dark hunter rubbed against her closefriend, distracting him further as he tried to hold onto the mug without spilling the rest of the chocolate.
Hastily swallowing the rest, Garbh managed to give the mug to the remaining servant, who promptly left the room, and turned to catch Farmad as she leapt into his arms, making him crash straight onto the mattress.
Leaning back to watch, the Shadowed One glanced at Lariska and Iteotha, "How long did it last for?" he asked the blue/grey camo hued Dark huntress as she crossed her arms and lent against a wall, "Roughly half the night...I think. We weren't exactly aware of anything except each other."
Turning his attention back to the oblivious pair, the Shadowed One caught a slight movement as a roving eye inched down the wall closest to the mattress then froze when a burst of laser scored the wall just in front of it. "No further." he growled at the device, knowing that Meirg, and those with him, could hear as well as see everything in the room. Glancing at the Dark huntress, the Shadowed One beckoned her closer, "Go on another chocolate raid get more packets of that mix. It will make an excellent bribe." he whispered, an evil smile crossing his mask knowing the roving eye wouldn't be able to pick his order up. "As you order sir." she replied, a wicked gleam in her eyes as she glanced at Iteotha and he chuckled wickedly, guessing what their boss had in mind. The trio glanced at Farmad and Garbh as they shouted their pleasure before starting again, the Shadowed One raised an eyebrow then shrugged, stood up and indicated that Lariska and Iteotha should precede him from the room.
"Vocal, aren't they?" the unexpected comment made both Dark hunter and huntress chuckle as they agreed, sharing a glance before returning their attention back to their boss as he stalked into another room and slouched on an identical seat to the one in the throne room. Snapping his fingers, the Shadowed One glanced at the servant which swiftly appeared, "Watch those in the throne room until they pass out. Then inform me."
Bowing low, the servant vanished as swiftly as he'd appeared, leaving the Dark hunters alone, "How soon do you wish the spiced chocolate to arrive?" Lariska enquired then glanced over her shoulder as Iteotha tensed. Standing there grinning broadly, was the Chronicler of Metru Nui's shadow twin holding a small bag. Offering it to Lariska, she chuckled wickedly, "Turaga Anuenue guessed that something like this might occur so here's more of the spiced chocolate."
"You had better not..." the blue/grey camo huntress snarled, her eyes glowing angrily, "No worries, I'm soooo not telling my real self." the shadow twin snickered before waving as she vanished back into the shadows, leaving the Dark huntress to fume as her closefriend tried and failed to stifle his laughter and the Shadowed One roared his amusement.
"That matoran is so weird." Iteotha muttered as he and Lariska waited for the Shadowed One's next order, "Hmm..." the Shadowed One commented as he examined the bag of mixed powders before selecting one and grunted at the waiting servant. Listening to the sounds of the servant preparing the drink and the moans and cries from the throne room the Shadowed One tapped a claw against his mask, "And you say that the Turaga and her insane rahi slept through that racket?"
Watching unseen, the dusky Great Spirit chuckled to herself before winking at Darkness when he glanced briefly at her before turning his attention back to the Shadowed One. Her smile widened as she peered closely at Lariska and noticed a tiny spark within the Dark huntress's midriff. "This will be interesting." Rhya mused as she departed from Odina.
