Prologue: Who's The Real Monster?
Narration
Deep within forests of western Fire Country sat Mt. Ketatamashii Shikon. Barely anyone passed by the area, not that it mattered as it looked natural from the outside. Yet, four-hundred feet below the mountain's base was a far different story.
A facility known simply as "Zone 27" to it's many workers. Officially, it was known as the Kuroi Karasu Research Facility. It is used for genetic engineering and biological weapons development. Strictly, ethics is thrown out here. Of course that led to it's downfall. Why do I know this, you ask? Well, you'll find out.
We scientists were blinded in our pursuit of research and the knowledge from this experiment. Fire Country's military saw strategic value in obtaining this... "child". They claimed that he would be a weapon. We were baffled by the claims of a child being able to be a weapon, but then they told us that he contained a powerful demon; known as the Kyuubi.
Science does not have silly religion, I had told him. That's when he snapped his fingers, and 2 of his men started restrained the boy. A third stabbed him in the kneecap. The "child" whimpered in pain, and bled quite a bit. I yelled at them claiming that they were mad. Then the commander wiped the blood away with a rag, which revealed undamaged tissue. We scientists were shocked, and immediately jumped to the scientific conclusion of a mutation. The commander laughed darkly, and unsheathed his katana. He thrust the sword into the "child's" left lung and twisted it.. There was a sick squelching noise and the "child" started coughing up blood. We didn't even know what the hell was happening, until the wound started closing around the sword. The commander gave it a yank and it came out.
