October 28 - Purity

Family

"It's a girl."

Zoë's smile is radiant yet she weeps openly at the same time. Levi himself is jumble of emotions on the inside as he clutches his wife's hand tightly. A nurse comes in bringing the newly cleaned infant and Zoë lets go of his hand. The kind woman puts the baby into the new mother's welcoming open arms.

The moment Levi stares down at the life he and Zoë had created together, the newborn now cradled in the woman's arms, he finally understands.

This child… So small and fragile, so innocent and pure. She was their child. His daughter. And that made all the difference.

It's almost reflexive that he embraces them, the two most important girls in his life: Zoë, his annoying but lovable wife, the mother of his child, and the little baby girl in her arms.

Never in his whole life did he think he was capable of such joy, such overwhelming love that seemed to burst out of his chest. For these girls, Levi would do anything. Build a ladder to the moon, catch a falling star from the sky... Anything. Because he loved them so, so much. They were his everything now.

They were his family.

AN: My not-so-secret wish for this couple... ;w; This was crammed at midnight yesterday. I actually liked how it turned out so I didn't change much except all the 'Hanges' into 'Zoës' since that's her given name according to Kodansha. Please forgive the use of present tenses (ENGLISH Y U SUCH A COMPLICATED LANGUAGE?! OAO) I thought they gave this a more 'in the moment' vibe. Gah... Hopefully, this wasn't too OOC... orz

Before I forget to mention it, this little drabble was kind of inspired by BonneyQ's "Hope for the Future." It's such an awesome LeviHan fic, you should definitely read it! :D

P.S. For anyone who's curious, I won't post anything tomorrow, sorry... Couldn't think of anything to write for that prompt D: But I will post again on Wednesday and Friday though :D Let's just hope I get prompts 5 and 7 done on time... Thanks again! XD
