He didn't mind the rain-as long as he was inside-, the sound was comforting when hitting against the roof late at night. He didn't even mind the lightening, it was pretty when flashing across the sky. It was the thunder he didn't like. It was too loud, the booming sound would sometimes shake the house. Plus it scared his cats. And as much as he didn't want to admit it...it scared him too.

Like a child, Heracles sat in bed with his blanket thrown over his head, giving himself only enough space to see out of. His small friends gathered around him, pressing their furry bodies against him in freight. "I-it's alright, little ones. I-i-it's just a little thun-" He jumped and let out a very unmanly squeak as another round of thunder shook the sky. He gathered the blanket tighter around him, as though trying to block out the freighting noise. The cats around him began to cry and meow, as though begging their master to make the loud noise stop. "It's okay. It's okay." He repeated. "It's just thunder. Nothing to be-" He jumped again, biting his lip to keep from squeaking. "Afraid of, " he finished.

The Greek man closed his eyes and began to hum, a tune that he hopped would calm his nerves and his friends. It was then he felt something rubbing against his leg...purring? Opened his eyes Heracles looked down at the small black and white cat that was very special to him. Not because he was the newest addition to Heracles' family but because someone special had given him to the Grecian. Kiku, his best friend and fellow nation had give the cat as a birthday present. "Are you...trying to make me feel better?" Heracles asked before jumping as another round of thunder struck. He noticed the cat didn't even flinch.

"You are a very brave cat," The man said, picking up the kitten and nuzzled him. He was already beginning to feel better. He didn't make it a habit to give his cats names-only a few of them had names, including Corporal Cat who's name he had made up on the spot-but this cat deserved a name. Something that spoke of his brave little heart. "Courage," He said and the kitten meowed as if agreeing to the name. The Greek smiled and set the cat on his lap, petting him contently. As the next peal of thunder shook the house, Heracles closed his eyes and took a deep breath, determined to be as brave as the kitten in his lap.

A/N: Cute eh? It's been raining all day and I've reading too much fan fiction about Mr. Greece here. He's so much like a cat I thought it fitting he would be afraid of the thunder like many cats. Of course one kitty was there to comfort him. Review please! ~Ciao! Love Stripes!
