Breaking Point
-Drabble-
Every time we touch.
Every time we look in each other's eyes.
Every time we yell each other's name.
Every time we fight.
We know.
We know exactly what the other is thinking. We know that we both want the same thing. That forbidden thing. That thing that we know will get us in trouble. That thing that no one will understand but us. That thing called love.
But we're much too stubborn to fall for it, so we keep on pretending.
Every time we touch, we act repulsed by it.
Every time we look in each other's eyes, we look away before we can give ourselves away.
Every time we yell each other's name, it's out of frustration or "hate" and not out of pleasure like we've both dreamt about late at night.
And every time we fight, it's so we can do all those things above. So we can stay in this sick routine we both have down to a tee.
But what happens when we both reach our breaking point? When we're both just too tired to pretend anymore? To care, anymore?
Love happens.
And so now, the only type of touch that counts to them are the ones made late at night under the covers. Now when they look into each other's eyes they don't want to look away because they never want to loose what they see in them. Every time they yell each other's name is when they've reached another type of climax in their relationship. And now the fights are actually real. Because they're both fighting for that love to stay alive.
