Declaimer: not my'ne, if it was then the show would still be going on.
Tonight was the night, he thought. My life here is over, all that was here is over now. He had just finished packing all his belonging into his pack, every thing that ever showed he existed, leaving only a memory. They didn't need to care, just go on with their merry but difficult lives without having to worry about another life. Slinging the pack on to his shoulders he jumped on the railing of his balcony and turned one last time. "Goodbye" then with a poof of smoke disappeared.
Kitty entered the dining room expecting to see Kurt eating breakfast and greet her with the usual "Good morning". But he wasn't there. Wondering if he was sick or just lazy, she prepared her meal. Soon the room was filled with the voices of her teammates, chatting away about training, school, or just plain life. Still no Kurt, but it was a weekend.
After breakfast, they all had a Danger room session. They all met Logan in front of its doors. Looking around he said "Where's the Fuzzy Elf?"
Kitty answered "In his room, I think, cause like, he wasn't at breakfast."
"Well then go get him."
Kitty nodded and ran off, as Wolverine turned back to the rest of his students.
Kitty ran all the way to Kurt's room and knocks "Kurt wake up, it's like 9."
Knocking some more she suck her head into his room, but he wasn't there. Fazing through the door she began searching for him, cause no one had seen him.
"Come on Kurt, Mr. Logan is going to like kill you if you don't come out!"
After two solid searches, she hadn't not found him, not like it take that long. Standing in the middle of the room she noticed something strange. Everything was clean, his bed was set, nothing was on the dresser, or in fact anywhere. Her eyes widened, "no, he didn't."
She began searching through the entire room, hoping to prove herself wrong. Everything was empty, nothing was left to even show he ever lived here. Sinking to the floor, she buried her head her hands and her body shook with sobs.
Kurt teleported out of the grounds, then looking around disappeared again. This continued entail the sun poked its nose over the horizon. He teleported into a nearby forest and began to continue on four legs. He didn't keep teleporting because he didn't want to accidentally appear in front of people, or anything that could prove that he had been there. As he ran, he mused on what their reactions would be like. They probably would be shocked at first, none of them would cry, and then accept it and move on. He didn't know how wrong he was.
