InuYasha had dissappeared out into the forest... again. and Kagome knew why: Kikyou...
Kagome sighed, 'It hurts too much... I know InuYasha dosn't care about me... so why do I bother to stay here? Sure, we still have the jewel shards to clooect, but, InuYasha wants to be with Kikyou, and Kikyou can sence the jewel shards as well as I can... so... it'll be like I was never here if I leave...' Kagome thought bitterly as she began to gather her things into her big yellow backpack.
Kagome looked around the room, looking at Sango, Miroku, Shippou and Kirara, then sighed as she stood up.
As she walked out of the hut, she saw one of Kikyou's soul collectors, and she sighed againg as she started running twards the well, tears in her eyes.
When she jumped down, and landed on the other side, she ran into her house, and found what she didn't expect, InuYasha was sitting at the kitchen table with Kagome's mom.
"I-InuYasha?" Kagome whispered
"Kagome," InuYasha greeted her with a nod.
"Hello, dear," Kagome's mom said cheerfully.
"Kagome, we need to talk... agone," InuYasha said as he got up
"O-okay," Kagome said softly as InuYasha led her outside.
Kagome took note of something in InuYasha's hand.
Once they were outside and alone, InuYasha turned around and faced Kagome with soft, love-filled eyes.
"Kagome," InuYasha said as he got down on one knee, and pulled out a small black box, "Kagome... will you marry me? Be my... my mate?" InuYasha asked, scared of rejection.
"Y-yes... Yes... YES! InuYasha, Yes!" Kagome screamed as she wrapped her arms around InuYasha and buried her face in his chest and cried softly.
'Maybe I can stay with him after all...'
