*Sigh* Unfortunatly I don't own anything in PJO

"What in Hades name are you doing here?" Thalia hissed at the sandy haired boy that stood in front of her in the dead of night.

Luke ignored her question and stared hopefully into her eyes. Thalia had woken almost immediately when he had called for her. Her dark hair was pulled back in a messy bun and her blue eyes flashed irritably. The silver tiara glared at Luke from Thalia's head, a reminder of the ever growing barrier that shoved itself between what is and what was. Thalia wore loose clothes and she stood barefoot, one hand on her bracelet and the other in her pocket.

"Come with me, Thalia." Luke asked quietly, watching her quietly.

Thalia barked a laugh and snapped, "Yeah, right. I'm just gonna come with you and leave everything. I'm really gonna do that, Luke."

"Come on Thalia; It'll be like old times!"

"Yeah, old times. You the body for hire and me the girl you turn to when it turns bad. No way Luke."

"Please, Thalia. I miss you." Luke pleaded, grabbing at his last chances.

"That's not gonna work, Luke. You should have thought of that before you joined the Titans' side." Thalia scoffed, turning to walk back into the sea of silver tents.

"Thalia…" Luke sighed, stepping forward to grab Thalia's wrist.

The girl turned, eyes blazing with fury.

"What, Luke? What else could you possibly want from me?" Thalia snarled, "You've already stolen my heart; What else do you want?"

Luke stared into the younger girl's sparking blue eyes as if all the answers in the world lived in those to orbs. When Thalia didn't pull away, he leaned down and softly kissed Thalia. The dark haired girl stiffened in surprise, her reactions wavering between shoving him away and kissing him back. She chose the second option

It was Luke's turn to stiffen in surprise when his ex-lover wrapped her arms around his neck and kiss him back. Slowly, they relaxed as the kiss deepened. Thalia wrapped her hands into Luke's hair. Luke smiled in response and wrapped an arm around her waist. Thalia rose to the tips of her feet as if to bring Luke closer. Finally, the two had to pull away for air.

"So?" Luke breathed, looking down into Thalia's gleaming eyes.

The girl looked away from Luke and shrugged out of his arms.

"This changes nothing." She told him sadly and turned, walking back to the camp as the moon rose to it's full height.

Luke watched her go before turning and walking away, hands in his pockets. His head hung dejectedly as he thought about his gamble. He had gambled for her, and he had lost. Now there was only one option left.
