OK, this is my second story, and my first romance. If you had been paying attention, you would have seen that this is an AAML story. Y'know, Pokeshipping, AshXMisty, SatoKasu, Twerpshipping, whatever you want to call it. So, if you don't like it, why are you here? Beat it. But, if you do like it - and support it to some extent - then feel free to read at your leisure.

Oh, yeah. The disclaimer. I don't own Pokemon. It belongs to Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures, etc. I only own Chris. And his Pokemon. Not the species in general. Just those specific Pokemon. Got it? Here we go...

"Nothing like a little R&R, eh, Pikachu?"

"(I wouldn't say that...)"

Ash Ketchum lounged on his couch in the small town of Pallet, unwinding after a narrow, yet crushing, defeat to Paul - the abusive Trainer from Veilstone City - in the Sinnoh region Pokemon League. At the foot of the couch sat his faithful Electric-type Pokemon, Pikachu.

"Geez, it's no wonder you lost, Ash. You were probably sitting on your lazy butt when you could have been training."

Ash glared at the redheaded Gym Leader sitting on the chair adjacent to the couch. "FYI, Misty, I trained every day. Paul's methods were apparently more effective, despite being way too harsh."

Another Trainer, who was sitting in a chair between the two, groaned. He could see where this was going. "Guys, please don't start arguing. I'll start getting a migraine. You know what happens when I get a migraine. I get sick and cranky."

"(Don't bother, Chris. Once they start, you can't stop them.)"

"Well, if Paul's methods were too harsh, you wouldn't have lost. Yet, you did, and you treated your Pokemon with kindness - which is much more effective than criticism. Therefore, you were more than likely too lazy to train enough."

Ash opened his mouth to retort, but closed it when he realized that his friend was right. Being stubborn and unwilling to admit defeat, he responded with the only thing he could think of: "Oh, yeah?"

"Yeah!"

"Oh, yeah?!"

"Yeah!!"

"OH, YEAH?!"

"YEAH!!!"

Chris glanced at Pikachu. "Will you please do something?"

"(Gladly.)" The mouse stood up and zapped the arguing duo with a Thunderbolt. Ash and Misty were immediately silenced.

"I thought you said they couldn't be stopped when they start fighting," Chris said.

"(I said you can't stop them.)"

"Right." The shaggy-haired Trainer turned to Ash and Misty. "Why don't you two lovers go outside and calm down?"

The other two humans were on him in an instant. "We're not lovers!" they yelled in unison.

"Uh, huh. Is that why you're blushing?"

The raven-haired boy and the redheaded girl looked at each other. Sure enough, their faces were bright red.

Chris pointed to the door. "Out. Now."

Okay, chapter one is done! I'm sure you'll have a few questions, such as: "How did Chris understand what Pikachu was saying?" and "Where's the romance?"

These questions will be answered in due time. While I torment you by not answering immediately, please review. And remember, NO FLAMES! If you have problems with the story, fine. Just be sure to let me know in a nice manner. I will get mad if it sounds mean.

...While you're at it, why not read my other story and review it? I only have one review at this point. Heck, I won't update at all unless I get more reviews... so, REVIEW IT!

MPtF, out!
