Jolene. 'Oh Jean'
AN: Think of this as a music video
She walked down the hall to a door that was opened just a crack. Peaking into the room, Warren and Jean can be seen talking to each other. The girl backs away from the door and leans against the wall sighing.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
I'm begging of you, please don't take my man.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
Please don't take him just because you can.
She turns away and continues down the hall.
She had heard from the others when she had first come to Xavier's School, that that when they were original X-Men Warren would try at any chance he got to flirt with or ask Jean to go out with him. But she had to admit Jean was beautiful and could probably have anyone she wanted.
Your beauty is beyond compare.
With Flaming locks of auburn hair,
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green.
Your smile is like a breath of spring,
Your voice is soft like summer rain.
And I cannot compete with you, oh Jean.
Later that night, she sat up and swung her lags over the edge of the bed. Warren calling out for Jean had awoken her, he was dreaming. She watched him sleep on peacefully; she smiled as a tear ran down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away; she knew that Warren was loyal to her and he would not approve of her jealousy. Taking a deep breath she got back under the covers beside him and held his hand as she drifted off to sleep. Then muttering her name, Warren rolled over and hugged her body tight to him, falling into a deeper sleep.
He talks about you in his sleep,
There's nothing I can do to keep, from crying when he calls your name, oh Jean.
But I can easily understand
How you could easily take my man
But you don't know what he means to me, oh Jean.
Warren was the first mutant and person, besides her paternal father, to accept her for who she was. When she was lost, he helped her find her way to his arms and they had only grown closer to each other since.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
I'm begging of you, please don't take my man.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
Please don't take him just because you can.
You could have your choice of men,
But I could never love again,
He's the only one for me, oh Jean.
After classes had ended the next day, she made her way down the institute's halls till she came to Jean's room. She knocked three times, "Jean are you there?" She cracked open the door.
I had to have this talk with you,
My happiness depends on you,
And whatever you decide to do, oh Jean.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
I'm begging of you, please don't take my man.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
Please don't take him just because you can.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
I'm begging of you, please don't take my man.
Oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean, oh Jean.
Please don't take him even though you can.
Oh, Jean, oh Jean.
