Thank you, Lavender

"…And I mean, I couldn't blame him, you know? 'Cause, he's like, you know, awfully handsome, but he's just not what I'm looking for in a guy. So I, like, told him..."

"Yeah, totally" Parvati sighed, dreamily.

"Hey, are you even listening?" Lavender stopped her rampant talk and crossed her arms, offended.

Parvati took some seconds to focus and then blinked.

"Sure. You said that McGonagall was going to take points from you..."

"Girl, I said that ages ago! Where's your head this morning? Geez, you're annoying" the other girl complained.

Parvati bit the inside of her cheek to restrain from answering rudely, but opted to shrug nonchalantly and motioned her to proceed.

Scoffing, Lavender tossed her hair, and kept speaking like she hadn't been interrupted.

But Parvati was far from listening to her bitchy story, and her mind went wondering once again, thinking about long, pale, dirty blond hair...

"And radishes" she murmured softly, but Lavender heard.

"Radishes? What about radishes?" she asked frowning.

Parvati sighed again, and not caring if she offended her friend, stood up.

"I'm hungry. I'll go see if the elves' got something"

She turned around, leaving Lavender with her words hanging in mid air, and strolled down the hallway.

Dirty blond hair, and radish earrings, and a bottle cork necklace... Parvati blushed, imagining what followed after that necklace, soft, curvy, white...

BAM!

Parvati was knocked backward to the floor as her things scattered around her, one or two things broken. As she tried to sit up, nursing the back of her head, she heard the sound of a horse and some curse words above her, and then she felt a horrible feeling, like she had just been drenched with ice cold water, as the ghost knight passed through her.

"I'm very sorry miss, my horse is not really in the mood today!" the knight called as he spurred his stallion and then jumped out of a window, disappearing from sight.

Parvati stared dumbfounded and then stood up, fuming. She fixed her hair and clothes and then turned around to recover her things, but to her surprise, none of them were in the floor anymore, but piled up between the arms of a small witch.

"How rude of him" Luna Lovegood said dreamily, staring at the place where the knight had disappeared, "He didn't even say sorry"

Parvati blushed furiously and tried to say something, but the sight of Luna, with the sun rays shining over her and little particles of dust falling on her petite form, it wasn't easy.

"He..I mean I...didn't...thanks"

Luna turned to look at Parvati, her expression never changing.

"You look pretty when you blush"

Parvati widened her eyes and blushed even more, if that was possible. Luna approached her and gave her her things.

"Thank you" Parvati said, with a smile, for both her things and the compliment.

Luna didn't answer, but stared at her.

Parvati started to shift nervously, and wanted to look away from her sky blue eyes, but in that moment, Luna's expression turned serious, something very strange in her.

Without any warning, Luna stepped forward and brushed her lips with Parvati's. Parvati froze, but returned the slight kiss. When she was about to close her eyes, Luna drew away.

"Sit with me for dinner" Luna said, turned around, and skipped away.

Parvati didn't move, didn't blink, didn't breath.

A small, knowing smile crept to her lips. How could she hide from this girl the fact that she had a crush on her? Luna wasn't in Ravenclaw for nothing.

A not-so-subtle cough distracted her from her reverie, and she turned to see Lavender watching her. Lavender stared at her, and then shook her head with a smug smile on her face.

"Well, it was about time, you two"
