The Call
Just a little thing that I wrote to fit the song by Regina Spektor (by the way, I LOVE THIS SONG. I OBSESS OVER IT. LISTEN OR DIE (or not)). Please review! Oh yeah-disclaimer: I don't own PJO. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be writing this thing.

As I looked at the room of tense Olympians, crackling with power as they discussed, I lapsed into a silence. My body was numb with shock, as unfeeling as it had been when I had been a tree. I knew that I had two choices; one would mean leaving forever.
But leaving from what?
It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
Till it was a battle cry
I'll come back
When you call me
No need to say goodbye...
How had Luke, laidback, easygoing Luke, ever turn into that monster? My reflexes had acted at the same time my mind had screamed, and I had heartbrokenly looked at his mangled body over the cliff...
I had never known much but Luke. He had been the one who had opened up my life, led me towards a place other than my alcoholic mother and abusive stepfather. A confidant, maybe. A friend, or even a lover at one point. My feelings raged inside of me, and I desperately wanted to cry out in agony and despair. When had he changed? How had this happened?
J
ust because everything's changing
Doesn't mean that its never
Been this way before
All you can do's try to know who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star from the dark horizon and
Follow the light
You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say goodbye
You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say goodbye
He had been my point, the point that had held me up while I was broken and that had reassured me when I was anxious. Where was a person when you needed them?
I looked over my shoulder and saw Percy and Annabeth. Tears were dripping down her nose while he held her, soothing her in calming words. It was then I knew; a new object would come into Aphrodite's play.
Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
Till they're before your eyes
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say goodbye
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say goodbye...
I would no longer be broken.
I turned to Artemis, and made my choice.

Perfect song, in my opinion. Review!
