Paws Off My Heart!
Chapter One: First Day
Dear Diary:
You'll keep my secrets, so I can tell you, right? I take your silence as a resounding "YES". Well, it all started with school, as usual. It's awkwardly bland. It's disgustingly boring. It's school. But, today is the best day, being it's the first day of senior year! I got to see my friends… the whole two of them, but they were acting really weird. It was as if I smelled! Seriously, I checked my shampoo, and it doesn't say "SHIT" on it. I'm sorry for my language, but I'm sick and tired of editing myself. It's lavender for crying out loud! Anyways, yes, they were acting weird. Kiba, and little Akamaru, were there. And so was Shino. That was all fine and dandy, but the glares and the growling that Kiba and Akamaru were directing at Shino were a little unnerving.
Don't get me wrong, they stopped as soon as I walked up. They scrunched their noses though. Dogs do that when they smell something terrible. I know this for a fact, so why only me? Thank whoever is up in the sky that the bell rung for the start of classes, and the bustle of people interrupted the tension in the air. You could've cut it with a knife, it was so tense! Wow, that was really cliché, but whatever. No one else will read this. What use is a shy girl's diary to a person? Really? After that, Shino and Kiba acted normal. The noses weren't scrunched and the smiles were there in their rightful place again.
I kind of wonder what Shino did to them. Maybe he sent his bees and wasps after them! Hah! Shino makes me laugh sometimes. I wish he'd take off those shades for once… It's aggravating to try to decipher him. Whatever. (See? I used the new word Sakura and Ino taught me! Isn't it awesome?) I guess it's time to sleep now… Nothing else eventful happened today. First days are too bitter-sweet for this girl. Now, good night, diary!
Love Always,
Your Shy Girl

With a gentle push, the diary flopped shut, a small click ensured the contents were safely secured in their secrecy. The ornate, golden design branched all over the purple leather exterior. The thick book had pieces of papers popping out of the sides, clearly notes that were written before. Some were pictures, and some were just notes from classmates. The diary was only half of the way used, the messy front half clashing with the bottom's neatness.
Her pale eyes stared at the design as a pale hand traced the words that spelt "Diary" in the same fancy gold that was thin all over the book. Gingerly placing the diary into the open, oaken bedside table, the girl silently closed it, and she smoothly shifted and shut her small desk lamp that was curled. It hissed slightly as the ray of light slowly dimmed away. Shifting again, the girl covered herself with her light purple sheets, falling asleep quickly. The moonlight streaming in through the window was hitting her face, giving it a soft, milky complexion.
A shadow shifted over her face, but only for a second, a black shadow standing beside her bed. Completely still, the eyes scanned the sleeping girl, noticing she was out like the light beside her bed. Opening the bedside drawer, the shadow took her diary, shifting away onto her eight drawer armoire, sitting on top of it. The lock was fickle, opening easily to the stranger, and revealed its many secrets and confessions…
