My first story, and I'm sad to say its not that good. Wrote it in 10 minutes and then posted it. I hope you like it.

Disclaimer: I dont own anything but the plot. Oh, and while I'm at it, Even though my penname says Troy Bolton Is Mine I dont mean that I own the charactor or anything. 'Cause I don't.

Reunion

"...And the winner of the Juliard Scholarship is..." I sucked in a breath, secretly hopeful.

Miss Darbus smiled. "..Troy Bolton." I stood, frozen in amazement. The room was silent, no one knew how to respond.

Gabriella nudged me and I snapped out of my trance. "Oh, er...Thank you." I said, shaking hands with the Juliard representatives. My words echoed in the silence until a chorus of voices all began speaking at once.

"Troy can't..."

"...Basketball's his thing, he has to do it!"

"...Singing instead of basketball..."

"...Is this a joke...."

"...What an honor!"

"...But I wanted that!"

"This cant be happening..."

Troy stepped backwards to let the next person speak and was surprised at how happy he was. A scholarship. To the most important music school in the country!

"Mr. Danforth." Miss Darbus called.

He looked for his best friend. Chad was nowhere to be seen.

"Mr. Danforth." Miss Darbus called a bit louder.

Troy looked at all the watching people, then turned and ran off the stage.

Chad was exactly where Troy had expected him to be. Shooting hoops in the gym.

When he heard my footsteps he looked over. No smile, just a look of disbelief on his face.

"So this is the end?" He asked.

Troy shook his head. "No way."

"But you're going halfway across the country!" Chad stated, throwing the basketball up. It hit the backboard in fell right back down.

"I know, but that fine. Everyone's going to different places, but we'll all see each other again. Things will work out, you'll see." Troy smiled.

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- 8 Years Later -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-

Troy straightened his tie and climbed the steps of East High for the first time in a long time. He spotted a sign. High School Reunion, Gym. Troy followed the signs, pausing by his old locker on the way. Now it was someone else's.

He passed the wall where the best East High althletes' pictures hung. He spotted his fathers picture, then another caught his eye.

Troy Bolton. Outstanding Basketball Skills.

Troy swallowed a lump in his throat, he missed the game. But he wouldn't for long. He was going to try and make a proffesional team, he never had been able to quit practicing. A strong habit, I guess... He shook his head and entered the Gym.

Immediately he saw the familiar faces. Taylor McKessy, Ryan and Sharpay Evans, Chad Danforth, and Gabriella Montez.

He ran a hand through his short brown hair and walked over towards them.

When Gabriella caught sight of him she ran over and embraced him. "Troy, I've missed you so much."

"Me too."

Then the others came and greeted him, all happy to see one another yet again.

It's amazing what a few years could do.

Taylor had become a Senator.

Ryan was a Choreographer for Broadway. (Troy had seen him many times).

Sharpay was starring in a television show.

Chad was still trying for that same dream, to be a star at basketball.

When Troy told Chad about trying out for Pro Basketball, Chad was ectatic. Maybe they could be teammates once again.

"You were right," Chad told him later. "Everything did work out."

I know, terrible. Please review, it's my first story!
