Disclaimer: I don't own any of this yet, but I'm working on it...
"Hey Sai-Sai."
"Axel!" I hissed. "You're just antagonizing him!"
"So?" The redhead raised his eyebrows. "It's fun."
"But he-"
He waved a finger at me. "Chill," he said. "Nothing's gonna happen."
"But-"
"He gets pissed," Axel reasoned. "We run."
"Perhaps you should go into Phase Two." Someone sneered. The hair on the back of my neck stood up.
"Sai…" I swallowed.
Axel hit my shoulder. "Run!" I couldn't move. Someone was holding me back.
"Demyx," the voice was firm.
"Please Saix," I pleaded. "I didn't do anything…"
"I know it wasn't you Demyx." I let out a breath. "However, it's your poor choice of hanging out with Axel that gets you in trouble."
Axel always talked to me. Sure I got blamed for everything he did, but he was my friend.
"I suggest you find more suitable people to spend your time with."
Like who? I thought. No one else talks to me. No one wants to.
"It's your choice," Saix lectured, letting go of my cloak. I dropped to the ground, landing lightly. I dusted myself off.
"Not much of a choice," I muttered.
"Why is that, Demyx?" He questioned.
"Because everyone hates me, 'cause they think I'm annoying." I mumbled.
Saix sneered. "And why is that?"
"'Cause I try to get their attention when they're busy." I explained.
"Why?" He kept repeating it.
"'Cause I want to be acknowledged." My voice was rising.
"Why?" He was smiling.
"Because I want to know that I exist, dammit!" I screamed. It made me angry thinking about it. I couldn't remember what had brought it up. Saix started the conversation…
Since when did he care?
"I can prove to you that you exist." He said, breaking my concentration. A portal appeared and he gestured me to it. I stepped through.
