I`ll meet you there

The feather light touch of your finger tips, tracing along my collar bone, makes me marvel, wide eyed.

Your eyes travel along behind your fingers, boring into the fiery trail of goose bumps that the pads of your fingers leave behind.

I love you like this you mumble into the syrupy air that fills the space between us.

The space that I am desperate to close. To claim your lips. To surge forward, hard and fast. To press my face against yours and lose my breathe at how perfectly we fit together.

But I wait

Because I love you too.

You are perfect like this, all sunshine and softness and light.

Your face is nothing like mine.

I have shadows. My face is filled with dark spaces that no one can see, and pitch black indents that only you can fill. Sometimes I wonder if it bothers you that its only you that can see the secret bits of me. If you worry because everyone else only sees the dark.

But then I look at you.

Drink in the warmth that you radiate.

How your blue eyes pierce through mine, pulsing through my veins until I cant help but step into the light.

I cant help but nod gently.

Because I finally believe that you're telling me the truth.

You love me like this.

In the way that no one else will ever manage.
