Sandspeck's Escape
Chapter one
Sand was helping his mother, Mountain to pick new bedding for their dens. Sand wasn't a Clan cat; he was a rogue just like his parents. His parents educated him how to hunt and fight. His life was great, until one day. Sand was hunting with his parents on a damp warm day. Sand was hunting a mouse until it noticed him and ran for its life. Sand chased the mouse until he realised he was away from his parents. ''Mountain? Roots?'' he called out. Sand then saw a figure stalking in the mist. ''Who are you?'' he asked the figure. The figure revealed itself and it was a black and brown cat. The figure just kept coming closer and closer and closer. ''What do you want from me? Why are you here? Wh-'' Before Sand could speak again the cat lunged at him. Sand screamed before he was unconscious.
Chapter two
Sand woke up in a dark room. He looked up and saw light flickering from the hole above him. Mud was surrounding him and when he tried to get out he just slipped and fell. Suddenly a cat looked at him from the hole above. It was the same cat that attacked him. ''Where I am?!'' he shouted furiously. The cat grinned with a cruel smile. '' Well, well. This will need to do a lot of explaining. How would you like to be my slave? Oh wait, opinions don't matter since freedom doesn't exist.'' The cat laughed with a hoarse one. Sand gasped at the speech the cat said. '' Well my little kit? Why don't you tell me your name?''
Chapter three
It has been a year since the kidnapping happened. Sand was returning from his hunting to feed his master, Reek. Sand's ribs were showing, he fur was all grimy and messy. Sand dropped his prey in front of Reek. Reek bent his neck and ate his food. After Reek ate almost the entire mouse he passed it to Sand to eat. Sand gobbled up the leftovers and started to pad towards his den. Before Sand could jump into the hollow den, a jolt shook the ground. Trees and rocks started to fall. Sand sprinted away from the destruction. Sand ran and ran. He then found a warm hole to protect himself from the danger, but was only able to fit one. Sand was going to run into the den until he met Reek. ''Let me in! I can't die!'' Cried Reek helplessly. Suddenly Sand's anger boiled up. ''You know what? I'm sick of you treating me like foxdung! You ruined my life! How about you pay the price!'' Screamed Sand. Sand lunged at Reek clawing her as much as he could. Sand and Reek wrestled each other in the lashing rain while rocks and trees fell. Suddenly Reek clawed Sand's ear and blood poured from the side. Sand yowled in pain. He then realised Reek's neck was venerable. Then Sand dug his teeth into Reek's neck. His teeth tore into Reek's flesh as Reek screamed. Then Reek fell back and died. Sand ran into the den as Reek's body was crushed.
Chapter four
It has been a quarter-moon since the death of Reek. Sand hadn't had an decent meal in ages, but the environment was cold. He couldn't find his way out. Then Sand heard yowls from the other side of the land. He saw a group of cats running towards him. Sand looked behind him. ''What are you doing on our territory?'' growled one of them. ''I-I'' Sand trembled in the cold. Sand struggled to speak. '' Let's just bring this loner to our camp or else he will die from the cold.'' Said the second cat. While the group of cats crowded around him, strange scents wafted into his nose. After a while , Sand saw their camp. Cats were looked at him curiously as he entered the camp. Then one of the cats padded up to a brown she- cat and spoke to her. The brown she-cat walked up to Sand. '' Why were you in EchoClan's territory?'' she asked. Sand explained the whole story to the cat. ''Well I guess you have no choice, would you like to join EchoClan?''
