Banana Pancakes

I pull you in closer to me, as your soft skin rubs against mine. Rain droplets trickle down the windowsill, and I close my eyes hoping that we could just lay here and forget about the world. Just for a little while. Your soft breathing mimics the rhythm of the rain, and I try to listen even more closely because your breath in my ear is probably the nicest thing that I've ever heard.

The harsh ringing of the alarm clock wakes us both up. "What time it is Eli, we are going to be late." I ignore you and snuggle my nose in your warm curls. You don't know that I'm trying to tell you that I love you. "Let's just stay here." I whisper into your neck. Your body relaxes into mine, and the moment is so perfect that I don't know what to say. So I don't.

You're lying so gracefully on the bed, and can't help but watch the way you stay so beautifully still. Your auburn curls are so messy, but yet so perfect. I could spend the whole day watching you, but we only have a little bit of time so I try to use what is left of it. The bubbly liquid on the hot skillet begins to turn solid as the aroma of banana fills the empty house. It's so dark, but yet sunshine seems to take up the space of everything.

You walk your stiff body to the kitchen and plop down on a chair. You're smiling that big smile, as I put the pancakes in front of you, and I can't help but feel like this is where we were always supposed to be. "I love you." I whisper, but your too busy indulging in the pancakes that you don't seem to notice. Your blue eyes dance around the room, and even though it's the dreariest day outside you seem even more alive.

You follow me back to the room, your body capturing the scent of banana. I open my mouth to say those three little words, but yet nothing comes out. You're humming with the sound of the rain, and you don't pay me any mind. The telephone begins ringing, but we lay here quiet. And the only sound that remains is our soft breathing.

"I love you." You whisper, as I stroke your soft curls. The bed is warm and familiar, and I snuggle in closer to you because being next to you is my favorite place to be. And as your voice pitter patters along with the rain, I don't say anything back, because I don't need to. I place my hand over your chest to see if your heart is beating as fast as mine. And as my lips work their way to yours, everything that I needed and wanted to say is out in the open. The heavy water flows down the window outside, and we began to dance with the rain.

Hey Guys! Just a one shot..Sorry I have been MIA for a while. But I'm working on a different story that I'm sure you all will love, along with another chapter for Sweet Sixteen. I know it's been a while, but please review and tell me what you think :)
