"Like I said, I'm not coming backā¦as a jedi, or a sith" Ahsoka felt the back of her head where her padawan braid used to be. As much as she wanted she couldn't be mad at Anakin, he was like a father to her. "You were supposed to bring balance to the force, if this is the only way to end corruption I won't get in you're way, but leave me out of it. I'm not a murderer, and neither are you," She blinked back a tear remembering her trial.
"Fine, I understand snips, I don't want anyone to hurt you ever again. You are like a daughter to me," he placed the items in her hands.
"My lightsabers? But I lost these," She gapped, she was rather attached to them.
"Yes Rex and I dug them up,"
"Rex? Is he?" she never thought of Rex as a murderer, he was her brother.
"Here," Anakin gave her a small locket, inside was a picture of her, Anakin and Padme, and a button. "If your ever in trouble, press this, and one of us will be there," he turned to leave. Ahsoka grabbed him and hugged him, tears threatening to spill.
"Don't go! Stay, we can be together as a family with Padme and the baby, It'll be like old times, without the jedi forbidding attachments, please dad," She hadn't meant to call him dad or have that outburst.
"I must go it's the only way I can protect everyone I love, good bye dear Ahsoka," he placed a kiss on her forehead and went to leave the apartment. "Oh and Ahsoka thanks,"
"For what?" she stared at him.
"For refusing to join me, your pure heart is what'll will give hope for the future of the force. And for calling me dad, my dearest daughter," he left, leaving Ahsoka clutching her lightsabers and locket as the realisation of what had happened hit her. Anakin wasn't Anakin, it was like he was possessed by Vader, but Anakin was there somewhere.
